I'm old enough to know she's no feminist. She's danced this dance many times in the past for publicity, because she knows she's not a feminist either. Personally I've never been a fan but I can say that she knows how to make money - if that's how you measure success then I guess she is that.

Cosmo went beyond Playboy in many ways. Soft port/erotica always sells well. It seems that every single Cosmo cover has to mention 'orgasm' explicitly and contain a large article-guide for the same phenomenon in every single issue. I wonder if Mrs Brown ended up living with multiple subsidized boyfriends in their twenties in her mansion.

HGB did more to completely screw up American women than anyone I can think of because she sold them a bill of goods that was a lie from every possible angle. Any man or woman who respects themselves finds Cosmopolitan a complete waste of time.
