Forward Flip Basketball Shot: AMAZING VIDEO

People have made some amazing shots in basketball, but this one has to be near the top of my list. An Ohio eighth-grader pulled of a stunt shot that has to be seen to be believed. He runs forward, does a forward somersault/flip using the basketball to push off the floor, and then hurls the ball towards the basket at the opposite end of the court, 60 feet away. SWISH!

That's a pretty athletic move for anyone, never mind a 12 year old.

If someone can shoot a ball from 60 feet away, into the net ( that's about 2/3 the full length of an NBA court ), it's impressive. They sometimes give away cars to people as prizes, if they can hit a shot from half court.

Whoever that kid is, hats off to him.
I'm just happy to know that they still let kids take gym in 8th grade!

I call shenanigans. The basketball leaves the frame, which is the first clue that all might not be kosher, and the angle of the throw seems a bit too acute.

Though, if he actually did it, good for him.

This is amazing, but not impossible. Soccer player were throwing the ball in like that years ago; you just have to get lucky and throw it on target. He probably tried dozens of times before he got one in.
