Israel Outpost

Israel News:

The following is the first phase of a project aimed at helping monitor outposts and clarify the potential difficulty in countering them for the sake of peace. The data is based in large part on extensive research conducted over years by the Peace Now organization, augmented with and cross-referenced by information from settlers and Haaretz correspondents.

Previous governments have created an impossible situation for this and future governments. Occupying prime land and water to the current extent makes a two state solution impossible.

1. No Israeli government will be the one to dismantles settlements..

2. No Israeli government will be the one responsible for the civil war with Jews killing Jews.

3. Eventually, although the Jewish culture will remain, the majority Jewish state will disappear.

There doesn't appear to be any wiggle room left.

Comment #3 on Ha'aretz's Talkback near the bottom of the page is particularly enlightening.

I came across an article yesterday stating that new and proposed settlements (apparently homes, condos and apartments) don't have buyers.

The reason may be that moderate Jews are not only leaving Israel but have no interest in living in the West Bank.

Haaretz could do a better job for peace by "monitoring" the illegal weapons coming in from the tunnels that go from "Israel's peace partner" ..(LMAO.)..Egypt!! Or it could monitor how many terrorists have put down their weapons. and recognized Israel's right to exist..which is part of THE FIRST STEP OF THE SO-CALLED ...ROAD MAP!! Nah..why really HELP things???

Acknowledging Israels right to exist only legitimizes Israels brutal occupation policies and illegal land grabs. Its a ridiculous demand and is the real reason they obsessed with Arab recognition.

I hope it never happens.

I hope so,too...but for a different reason. That reason is that there will not be peace..the give-away of Israeli -won lands for a "promise" to behave from folks who have never kept their promise will NOT take place!

Arabs demand Israel recognize a Palestinian State but refuse to recognize the Jewish State.
11:44 AM on 06/22/2009
That's a bold faced lie. Over 80% of Palestinians have recognized Israel's right to exist in recent polling. That is substantially more than Israelis who believe in the creation of a Palestinian state. Most other Arab nations have recognized Israel as a viable state, and it's closest neighbors have signed peace treaties with them. Your false statement is most likely linked to your racist hatred of Arabs. Check yourself.

It MUST be done in the PA and by Hamas. Obviously they represent the will of those people LMAO)...and they refuse to do so. Of course, your 80% -figure is a hoax..but when did the facts ever matter to the haters of Israel?? ( answer: NEVER!). And.no, most Arab states have continued to deny the existence of the State of Israel...as that would undermine the so-called Palestinians' efforts to replace Israel with Palestine!! Really...your comment is a total compilation of...to be kind...'MISSTATEMENTS and UNTRUTHS"

The fact that it is a Jewish state shows that it is not a secular democracy and explains why Palestinians are allowed to be terrorized and evicted off their lands by Israeli settlers.

all the illegal settlements have to go -- so does the berlin-style wall . . .
