Perez Hilton: Will.i.am Assaulted Me, Call The Police

UPDATE 2: Perez and Will.i.am have both spoken out. Will denied it was him, while Hilton has a 12-minute video blasting the Black Eyed Pea as a "disgusting human being" and "a fucking liar."

He says the fight stemmed from his harsh posting about Fergie.

UPDATE: TMZ reports will.i.am is not the suspect:

But cops in Toronto tell us it was the general manager of the Black Eyed Peas -- Polo Molina -- who is under investigation and he turned himself in to police early this morning.

PREVIOUSLY:
Beginning just after midnight West Coast time, Perez Hilton tweeted a series of messages alleging that Will.I.Am and his security guards had assaulted him.

Hilton was in Toronto Sunday for the Much Music Awards:

-- I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please.

-- I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.

-- Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel.

-- I spoke to my lawyer. I really need to talk to the authorities. Please come to the SoHo Met Hotel. Have called the police. Need them here.

-- The Toronto police are here now. Thank you. Please stop calling them.

The last message he posted on Twitter before this series of tweets came about two hours earlier: "Is there a gay bar that we can go to with GaGa now that like has a balcony or some place to have fun but be safe?"

It goes without saying that Hilton's claims have not been verified.

Sticks and Stones can break bones, but Words hurt as well. You should learn that Words you post on your blog hurt the people you profile, whom haven't done anything to you at all. Accusing someone on your blog and Twitter is contrived and not honest. If you really wanted to file a police report, you could have gone to the police directly after the incident or at the scene of the alleged incident. You are looking for attention just like anything you do. I agree, no one is entitled to hit anyone, but in your case I doubt your accusation holds water because you have been known to lie and hurl lies about other people. You reap what you sow!

I'm shocked to hear how everyone thinks that Mario Lavandeira (Perez) being assaulted was something he had coming. If the dude from the Black Eyed Peas really needs everyone to like him then he's got bigger problems. Not everyone is going to like your stuff; get over it. Mario isn't anyone worth having to go to jail for.

There have always been gossip columnist in the entertainment industry and I don't believe that none of them have ever been assaulted to this extent. I predict that this is going to be bad for Fergie and her band. "It's gonna turn into a gay bashing thing" just watch.

First off, I am not a Perez fan at all. I can't stand him. That said, I have a question for all of you. If Perez was a woman (yeah, yeah, insert joke here), would it have been okay for Will.i.am, his bodyguard, or his fan to hit him? I'm not losing any sleep over this, but I think we need to cautious about celebrating someone getting attacked because we don't like what was said.

In the real world people usually watch what they say to some extent. Sometimes running off at the mouth will bring trouble your way, now if you can deal with that then run your mouth but if you can't then maybe you should be a bit more selective in what comes out of your piehole. Just saying.

I realize that he runs his mouth off more than... well... anyone else on the planet, but is punching him an appropriate response? My concern is that some people may see this as a free pass to punch anyone who disagrees with them or verbally insults them. Or even worse, many people may take from this that's it's appropriate to punch a queeny gay guy and society will be okay with it because he probably deserved it. Some men and women think that this is an appropriate response for people to solve their issues with each other with their fists. I'm hoping whoever attacked Perez (I'm not convinced it was Will.i.am), gets an appropriate punishment. Weaker people should be able to speak their mind and have an opinion without worrying about a physical attack even if what they're saying is unpopular. I think what Fred Phelps (God hates f@gs, etc...) says is extremely offensive, but I don't think he should be attacked for saying it. We as a society should not be condoning this.
