Stephen Baldwin QUITS "I'm A Celebrity"

NEW YORK — Another celebrity has bailed out of the Costa Rican jungle set of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"

Stephen Baldwin says he exited the NBC show over the weekend because he received more than 125 insect bites in eight days.

In a statement, he says the bites were so bad he had an extreme allergic reaction that caused him to lose sleep and 22 pounds.

The actor says he will continue to work on behalf of his chosen charity LOVE 146, which fights child sex slavery and exploitation.

"I'm a Celebrity" ends on Wednesday.

I will say the bug bites suck- Sound like NBC like others in Media are Only about Exploitation for Ratings-- and somehow this became a ligitimate business structure ( just made up b.s.)

Stephen is actually a pretty good example of the average religious right person. Watch him on the show. He's a genuinely good person. He's into his religion the way some people are into extreme sports. He's just a guy looking to feel good at something. He also wants to be apart of something bigger than himself. He's misguided, in my opinion, but he's not a bad guy. I was raised in that world that Stephen lives in. I grew up. I think that what people like Stephen need is not to be demonized as if they are the leaders of the religious right... rather treated with some sympathy and patience because they really are victims of the religious right leaders. They get the hell scared out of them. Convinced that the creator of the universe's idea of love is burning them in hell if they don't love him back. That does a mind youknowwhat on these people. They have this self esteem foundation based on a conditional love from God. But ussually, they had such a low self esteem or battered self esteem that this conditional love is more stable then what they had or at least felt they had. These people need to be loved away from their extreemism. Not more isolated. They are already pushed into isolation by the leaders of the religious right. They need to be welcomed. They need to be shown a better way. In my opinion. It sure worked on me.
