Perhaps the 'opposition' in Iran (and in other places) need to do a few things before they do what they are doing in Iran-those that are tech savy be the ones w/in the telecom monopoly to keep the lines open or at least have another 'back door' that uncensored info can escape from or at least have easily available satellite wireless interenet and also get the support of the military and police (or those that have the firearms) before continuing the protests.

One of the Staunchest Ally to USA -Dictator Meles Zenawi of Ethiopia hijacked the 2005 Ethiopian through the help of the US-ambassador. After the election the regime is very harsh as you can read the comment below. Please Learn from Ethiopia what is going to happen in Ethiopia.

Gee, and how is this different from our OWN government which has been spying on us at least since the Vietnam conflict?

Thank G-D we in America don't have to worry about our government spying on us.

Unless you're a Quaker.

To explain the nuance -- Quakers are pacifists and therefore, proactive in anti-war movements. In addtion to Quakers, other church denmoinations were targeted for suveillance. And unfortunately, there's been no reversal, much less discussion, of those Bush era infringements on the 4th ammendment.

Some things that are despicable.
-US security state that continues unfortunately with this administration.
-IRI spying on its citizens to later hunt them down like dogs. Dissidents have never been tolerated in IRI from its inception. IRI carried on the tradition of SAVAK.
-Shilling for IRI.
