GOP Women's Group In MD: 'Obama And Hitler Have A Great Deal In Common'

Godwin's Law proves itself again! This time from a reportedly prominent GOP group in Maryland, the Republican Women of Anne Arundel County (as ThinkProgress reported today). On their website, they've published a letter from their president addressing Obama's alleged Health Care agenda, and equating the President with Hitler.

The Letter begins:

Dear Friends:

Obama and Hitler have a great deal in common in my view. Obama and Hitler use the "blitzkrieg" method to overwhelm their enemies. FAST, CARPET BOMBING intent on destruction. Hitler's blitzkrieg bombing destroyed many European cities - quickly and effectively. Obama is systematically destroying the American economy and with it AMERICA. First the banking/investment industry, next private enterprise (GM and Chrysler) and now HEALTH CARE.

We too CAN fight back. Contact everyone you know. Start a blitzkrieg of our own. Shut down the Capitol switchboards and the White House switchboards! Say NO to the Obamination of Obama Care!

Actually the number of things he and Hitler had in common are striking:

Both men were sufficient at metabolizing carbohydrates, for instance. Interesting, no?
Both had hair (I'm bald and they both piss me off flaunting their damn follicle advantages!!)
Both used things to communicate with others; something called a "word", which I think is short for "word-the-­hell'd-tha­t-guy-come­-from".

But most importantly, Both Obama and Adolph Hitler were African American.

I think the facts are indisputable: Obama is Hitler.

Maybe you would have preferred that all the banks failed and took everyone's bank savings with them! OR maybe you prefered that many of the businesses that borrow from banks to make their payrolls, would not have been able to do that, (since the banks would not have collapsed and not been available to give loans) -- BY THE WAY that would have resulted in millions of people not receiving their paychecks, not beig able to pay their rents, buy food, etc...

No you are 100% right and I'm sick of the bank bailout not getting the credit it deserves. My comment was in reaction to "Obama is systematically destroying the American economy and with it AMERICA. First the banking/investment industry, next..." I was saying that they saved the banks rather than systematically destroying them by giving them capital. I am well aware of the Lehman Brothers story where the government let them fail and the stock market took a major plunge while credit froze. Sorry for the confusion.

I've met people like this many times and we have our fair share here in Texas. They criticize or praise something because it seems fashionable and independent thinking is not allowed where herd instinct is necessary for survival. They will always criticize first and look at the details later.
