WASHINGTON -- Documents gathered by lawyers for the families of Sept. 11 victims provide new evidence of extensive financial support for Al Qaeda and other extremist groups by members of the Saudi royal family, but the material may never find its way into court because of legal and diplomatic obstacles.

The Bush's family has been friends with them for years. Oil buddies. The 9/11 terrorists were Saudis. The Saudi family was flown to safety out of the US.
Could they have conspired with the Saudis to start a war with Iraq to get rid of Hussain, drive up the price of oil, and give huge contracts to Haliburton (Cheney) which eventually moved to Dubai. And don't forget the good ole tanker - the Condeleeza. Funny how Bin Ladin has never been caught.
I'm not sayin', but something doesn't smell right.

There is SO much that this discovery...could actually explain about so many different things. This is really big news....too me

It's no secret that the Saudis are about the least popular ruling family in the entire middle east, except for our "sphere of influence".

...and I wouldnt be suprised if the Bush admin knew about this. It would explain A LOT including some 9/11 theories and timing of Al Qaeda releasing tapes and the GOP talking points that Al Qaeda always seems to repeat.

Well this is enough to make you sick - It makes me really sick since I knew people who were killed in the Pentagon.

The anti-corruption organization, Judicial Watch, had to file numerous lawsuits and FOIAs to obtain US Govt Docs that Show 160 Saudis flew from the US Between September 11 and 15, 2001 (when every plane here was grounded) including Bin Ladin family members, who left country that week without the FBI questioning any on those planes. It's also no secret that Prince Bandar (AKA Bandar Bush since he was so close to the Bush family) was in and out of the White House many times the week of 9/11.

The US lawyers for the Saudis remind me of the lawyers in the movie, "The Devil's Advocate" . Pay to play, that's what this country has become. How much do you want to bet that Obama will keep the 28-page, classified section of the 2003 joint Congressional inquiry into the Sept. 11 attacks classified? Gee it's June already and no action.

Or the North Slope in Alaska.

We need to find other sources of energy. Makes me wonder what life would be like today if the GOP smear machine had not been able to derail Jimmy Carter, who put a solar collector on the White House roof (that Reagan tore down as a tip of the cowboy hat to his oil buddies.)

Thirty years of solar and alternative energy development.... instead of thirty years of sticking our heads in oil sand.

We can't drill our way out of it.

I read that the if the Saudis pulled all their American investments, it would be a disaster. That is why they were secretly flown out of the country on 911.

You might be right, but honestly, they didn't need that threat -- there tied up so close with the Bush family cartel and its interests, the Saudi prince could have probably shot Barbara Bush and they'd still have been flown out of the country scot free.

We need to get the hell out of the Middle East, completely. Whether it's Saudi BS, Israeli, Iran, Iraq, etc.. just get the heck out.

You can't ignore people with nuclear power. Nuclear plants create some dangerous waste, and the Middle East has nuclear plants. Which, in many cases, we helped them build, because it was profitable and if we didn't, the Russians would.

It's too bad, but ignoring them really isn't safe.

"Critics have said that some members of the Saudi ruling class pay off terrorist groups in part to keep them from being more active in their own country."

This happens also when AMERICANS payhostage takers for their loved ones. They do this to get them back and because they don't think they will come to the USA tokidnap people. So, we also pay offterrorist groups to keep them from being more active in our country. And we also appear to pay off the Saudi Government by not releasing documents that link themtoterrorist groups. In that way, our government feels they are protecting us by allowing us to continue to buy OIL from Saudis. So point the finger at yourself, too.

No. I don't pay any of those people you mentioned. So, no.

If Americans were really making informed decisions, you would have a point. But with 95% of the press owned by the same half-dozen corporations that own the GOP, and most news filtered through them... that's a weak argument.
