Perez Hilton Defends Use Of Word "F*gg*t"

LOS ANGELES — Perez Hilton isn't apologizing for using a gay slur, and says he's never claimed to be a spokesperson for the gay community.

The celebrity blogger said in a statement Tuesday that he will continue to say things upsetting to gay and straight people alike. The comments came after the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation called for Hilton to apologize for unleashing the word during an altercation with Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am.

Hilton said he felt physically threatened and sought the most hurtful thing he could say during the confrontation at a Toronto nightclub early Monday. Police charged the band's tour manager with assault for allegedly punching Hilton.

Hilton said he did what he thought best to stand up for himself.

Now he claims not to be a spokesperson , but what was he doing when he asked Carrie Prejean the question during the Miss USA pageant? I think the word he used was more hurtful for him than will.i.am. Another thing why was he tweeting that will.i.am was attacking him when it was someone else?

You are sooooo right! To me, he knew what he was doing with Prejean. That was his own personal "set-up" to get controversary started. Everyone knows the easiest way to to do that is to ask a question regarding gay marriage. And I did read where he tweeted someone to call the cops for him with this so call beating from will.i.am he received. This guy gives the gay community a bad name...

Perez is a hypocrite of the highest order. He led a successful campaign to get Isaiah Washington FIRED from Grey's Anatomy for using that same word and even though Washington apologized profusely for his offense and even cut several PSAs about tolerance and hate speech. When Perez said that word should NEVER be used, I didn't see the big asterisk making it okay for him to use it.

while there is no excuse for using violence against anybody, perez can't play the victim, as before the punch, he was equally in the argument, provoking those he was arguing against. he could have found a way to just walk away from the situation but decided to stay in it.

Perez Hilton used the word f*!!ot in order to get a rise out of will.i.am, but his scheme was an epic fail. Everything that Perez Hilton does is for the purpose of D-R-A-M-A. I can't believe he said that he doesn't represent gay people after making a GINORMOUS deal out of the whole Miss California "gay/opposite marraige" issue. But, I digress.

So, Perez tried to insult will.i.am, by attacking his maleness, which with many Black men would have been a gigantic no-no and cause for the beat down of all beat downs. However, will.i.am didn't fit into Mario Lavanderia's (SPELLING CORRECT) stereotype of African American men and restrained himself. So, Perez had to make some other shite up.
