Anderson Cooper Remembers Going To Studio 54 When He Was 10 With Michael Jackson (VIDEO)

As part of CNN's coverage of Michael Jackson's death, Anderson Cooper told a story about going to Studio 54 when he was 10 with Jackson and other friends.

"When I was 10, for some odd reason, I went to Studio 54 with Michael Jackson and a bunch of people and I had no idea who he was and I saw him dance and I was like, Oh, that guy is a really good dancer."

Later, he tantalizingly added: "Why I was at Studio 54 is a whole other story... Child welfare authorities probably want to talk to my mom."

When I was 14 I would go into the liquor store and buy my Dad his scotch, vodka and brandy. I would have my Mom's BankAmeriC­ard (Visa for those of you too young to remember) or her checkbook and buy booze all the time. During the 70's it was party time. Back then, going into bars with others really wasn't that big a deal.

uhuh, well , if a major media personalit­y says it's so, it must be. never mind that they served alcoholic beverages at studio 54, among other intoxicant­s and that it's hours of operation were prohibitiv­e to ten year olds. i guess he was joking. hence, the laughter. there's been a number of documentar­ies on studio 54 and one that mentions it as an aside, while documentin­g andy warhol. does anyone remember what a factoid is?

Janet Jackson was in Studio 54 with Michael with her brother when she was no older than eleven. Drew Barrymore was clubbing before she was a teen too. Clubs let in kids when they have the right connection­s to wealth and fame. Cooper wasn't joking.
