Inglis

Wall Street Journal:

South Carolina Rep. Bob Inglis made a name for himself in the late 1990s as one of Bill Clinton's most zealous pursuers, an impeachment "manager" who attacked the moral failings of the president with a gusto that earned him a devoted following in the staunchly conservative "Upstate" of conservative South Carolina.

But with his governor now felled by similar temptations, Inglis sees an opening for the Republican Party, a chance to "lose the stinking rot of self-righteousness" and "to understand we are all in need of some grace."

Too little too late, Ingles. You should have pulled the board out of your own party's hypocritical eye before you pointed out the splinter in ours.

2. What republicans forget also his Satan was "thrown out of heaven because Satan sinned..liar, deceiver, thief----...hello republicans you talk about abortion gays--hmmm?

3. Republicans want to be priest get out of politics cannot serve two masters....

4...for remember republicans..G*& FORBID Church to collaborate with Government period..why?. Same thing what happened with the Roman Government bribes behind closed doors.with Church...hmmm?? --------------sound familiar republicans....send me your money and you will get a miracle..running down, on tv ?who? some pastors running down our Pres???....hmmmmm beware wolves in sheep clothing

republicans need to read their bible and the gospels not their man made gospels they are spinning and twisting for their own greed..we were told and warned of this...abortion gays are not the only sins for no sin is greater then another..for all sins separate us from G*&

...when J*& us was asked by his disciples which is the First and greatest commandment....J *& us said...this...I am the lord thy G*& and thy shall not worship any other G*& before me and love thy enemies as I have loved you ( we were G*&'s enemies sinners hmm terrorist you might say)........taking us to even a Higher and harder spiritual level now....love forgive serve

remember J*& us laid down his very life for us and he was not sin and did nothing wrong, but served us and paid off our debt of sin period........and G*& accepted for J&^ us did a righteous act...and was not sin

They disregard the entire New Testament! They use the name of G od in vain, in order to further their own self-interest. It's not that democrats don't do these same things, it's that these hypocrits use their false "faith" as proof that they are so much better!

BEWARE THE FALSE PROPHET!

Spot ON.. and the New Testament warns us... during the last days there will be many false prophets.

Personally, I feel that all the Bible-thumping is a HUGE part of the problem. The world would be a much better, kinder, more peaceful planet if people simply adhered to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Everything else in the Bible is simply political "spin". Any politician that inserts Jesus, God, Christianity into their platform is garnering christian votes.
People who are attending TO THEIR OWN RELATIONSHIP with Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna, The Great Spirit, The Divine Feminine, The Flying Spaghetti Machine, etc. do NOT feel the need to speak about it because they are LIVING IT.
If you're talking about it to others, who are you really trying to convince?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:49 PM on 06/25/2009

If 'you' are talking about it, that's one thing - but....trying to force on others that what 'you' believe is the only truth - that's where I have trouble with the religious right.

This is on the surface noble, but under the surface it speaks to the sick nature of these skunks who still are operating on the political premise that it helps them regain their political footings.

If any of the "family values" republicans REALLY believed in what they preach they would be asking... NO demanding Gov. Sandford and Senator Ensign to resign. Come on why is anyone going to listen to them, they prove over and over again it's do as I say not as I do. They spew over and over again the values they believe WE should live by but how about them, who gets to tell them how to live? They don't want gay and lesbians the right of marriage because it will take away from the value of their marriages.... REALLY. These hypocrites place no value on their marriage, if they did they wouldn't behave the way they do. For the ones that really do live by their so called "moral family values" stand up and tell Sandford and Ensign to step down and step down NOW. If you don't you give up the right to preach to the rest of us.

even if they Do resign. they still do not have the Right to preach to the rest of us.

. . . a chance to "lose the stinking rot of self-righteousness" and "to understand we are all in need of some grace."

Well. of course. Now that it's an endless parade of GOP hypocrisy, we have to find a way to forgive and forget. But only until the next time a Democrat does it.

"This may be an opportunity to extend a little grace to other people, to realize that maybe it’s not 100% this way or that way,” Inglis said.

Hmmm... Sounds like he will be outed next.

I wonder if he would have said the same had it been a Dem. I think not.

people cannot extend grace to another person. Grace comes Only from God. end of story end of statement. for someone who is supposed to know the Bible and understand his religion he sure doesn't know much about how it operates.
Grace does not exist without the name of God in front of it. God's Grace.
