Fox News Apologizes For Identifying Sanford As Democrat

On Wednesday, a Fox News chyron mistakenly identified Republican South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford as a Democrat during his press conference announcing his extramarital affair.

At about 2:30 Thursday afternoon, Trace Gallagher, of Fox News' "Live Desk," offered this on-air apology:

"We just want to make a correction to something we put up on the screen during our coverage of the governor's press conference yesterday. We briefly identified Governor Sanford as a Democrat. He is, of course, a Republican and we apologize for getting it wrong."

It was funny today when Fox was airing news about the Michael Jackson 911 call, they had 9-11. I thought that was probably another Freudian slip as they mention 9-11 every chance the get. Poor clerk probably typed it so many times they don't even know 911 has no hyphen.

This is a reoccurring tactic of Faux News. Whenever a Republican is caught in a scandal, Faux always seems to identify a Republican as a Democrat. This is just a ploy to continue demonizing the Democrats as immoral.
