If this is the same attorney as the one named in State Bar Records, he is in trouble with the Bar.

Check out the record:

So what happened to the business about Jackson suffering from a rare lung disease along with emphysema, GI bleeding, and progressive blindness that was big news a few months ago? Was that all baloney?

Prayers for the Jackson family are appropriate.

Oxman comments are not.

My first thought too. It was telling in that if he was truely a 'family spokesman' and close friend, he would have been in the conversations with the family -- not standing at the Emergency entry door. Discredit this man at every opportunity. You know he's already shopping his book to publishers which some company will publish but that doesn't mean we buy it. It's better collecting dust in the warehouse.

Are we all forghetting his accident and the burns from the commercial?
Maybe he was still had pain and /or was addicted after having to undergo extensive pain management.
Just a thought.

Few people become addicted to prescription drugs from recreational use. Elvis was first introduced to amphetamines via both his stint in the army and the fact that many of the first generation of rock n' roll stars used pills to keep going at gigs (something they learned from truck drivers). However, you can't fight dependency very easily.

he was in debt $400M, so who pays that off?
no one knows where his will is? odd?
but they keep mentioning he wants to give paul mc carthy back the rights to the beatles songs?
why were they trying to revive him for an hour at his home, why wasn't 911 called immediately?
sounds like another coverup like anna nicole smith? same thing, the dr. and people around him were enablers of drugs?
i hope the truth comes out.
his kids should go to his ex-wife if she is "normal". otherwise, give the kids to michael's mother.

Except that she gave up her parental rights for money TWICE. Not exactly the mother of the year.

Everything you are hearing is pure speculation as no one -- absolutely no one has any knowledge of the private life of Jackson. Quit believing the media vulture frenzy.

His royalties and rights to his music and the rights to a lot of other catalogs he owns will easily cover the debt if managed properly.

In normal time yes but the music business is in the crapper right now and the economy not doing so well either if they have to firesale his catalog to cover all the debt fast the value his estate might drop like a rock.
Add to that tax owned and his kids are not going to get much. Off course chance are he left everything to bubbles anyway!

There is something within the human nature that seeks to highlight "evil." No matter what the event, human beings seeks a little controversy to stir into the mix. Perhaps we are guilty of this "sin" because by always trying to find or discover "fault" or "blame" ....it removes the light off of our own unique sets of "dirt" that is underneath each person fingernail...whether famous or unknown.

I resent that people who claims to "know" him bring an element of controversy to the table of grief. They are not content to celebrate a life that literally touched the entire world. A talented artist that changed the way music was created and performed. A life that left a legacy that echoed in terms of uniqueness that this world will probably not see again. I celebrate a life of a great entertainer....that had the rare talent to last for over forty years. I can see Michael dance and sing...and it still brings delight beyond measures. His songs were an inspiration to us all and "this" is what I seek to focus on....I am tired of humanity always wiling to latch on and suck the juice of 'evil' and overlook the beauty ....but for me I will celebrate a life and thank God Almighty for granting us with the presence of this unique soul he created and endow with tremendous talent that was innately given to bless us.

Roger Friedman says Brian Oxman doesn't represent Michael Jackson, and he once sued Michael for legal fees. Can't deny he knows the family, but this is not the kind of thing that should be said to a grieving family, trying to make himself out as an insider.

I have no idea what connection this guy might have ever had to Michael or the family, but he sure doesn't talk like an attorney with any wits about him.

I already miss you, Michael. Rest in Peace. At least you don't have to put up with people trying to use you anymore.

First of all, I think it is important to remember that a couple of years ago, when this "loose lips" attorney was out espousing confidential information about Michael Jackson....Michael stated then that he released Brian Oxman during the time he claimed to be a "spoke-person" and "the attorney" for Michael Jackson. And I quote from Michael Jackson: "Brian Oxman DOES NOT speak for me." And I echo that same sentiment now. He was Randy Jackson attorney and he needs to learn a little about confidentiality and discretion. How dare this attorney interject himself into the limelight and create controversy to "steal" his own moment of fame. He claims that he "cares" for Michael. Then if he really did....he would have reserved this kind of statement and waited until the autopsy was done....and if any information was gleaned that supported this "claim" THEN he could have made his contribution to the discussion. As someone who studies law, I do not appreciate this kind of behavior from an attorney who should know something about confidentiality. And furthermore .....to continue to act as if "he speaks for the family" and clearly he does not...and the news outlets keep ignoring this fundamental framework that it was disclosed that "he does not" ....is wrong. I take what this guy says with a grain of salt and a photo opt ....must be seeking clients.

RIP Michael. No matter what the critics say, you left this world the gift of your musical genius. May your soul find the peace you never really had here on this earth. Generations will know your brilliance through this legacy.

Same as other comments in here, doctors will disclose that drugs caused his heart failure.

Pain killers mainly affect the ability of the heart to function. If you don't exert yourself after taking pain meds, you will be OK, but exert yourself, cardiac arrest can occur.

Jackson was working out in prep for his tour. If he had an injection of Demerol (together with other drugs), then the combo of working out (too much physical stress) and too many drugs, well... that's what killed him.

You also have to remember that he was a frail guy. So all the more likely he could suffer a heart attack.

I blame their doctors for all that overmedication - I swear they did it to Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Howard Hughes, Anna Nicole . . .

Drug somebody that much and they no longer can act alone with any amount of sensibility - they become captives of their own caretakers.

Somebody needs to hold the doctors accountable.

Brian Oxman is not and has never been a Jackson Family lawyer or spokesperson. Flo Anderson says he's never actually met Michael Jackson.

Huffpost can do better

It is true that at "one time" he did in fact represented Michael Jackson BUT Michael Jackson released this man as his attorney and emphatically stated that "he does not speak for me." Apparently, something happened that led to this decision. Perhaps he discovered that this attorney continually breaks the golden rule...about confidentiality. This "attorney" (and I use the term lightly) appears to always had a trouble with discretion which is absolutely imperative to the client and lawyer relationship.

He is in my opinion..unethical and he is seeking to glean some fame and press over the death of Michael....as he already sought to do in his life.
