The sudden death of Michael Jackson jolted his friends and family, a second blow to the entertainment world after it lost another icon, Farrah Fawcett, just hours earlier.

"I can't stop crying over the sad news," Madonna says. "I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

I was at CLUB W when Quincy Jones was there and it was an awesome venue! Will.I.Am DJed for over three hours and there were loads of people there. Definitely a perfect place to go on a Friday or Saturday night for a good time and lots of celebrities!!

All these guys have to get together and do the London show for Michael. Make it a tribute. Madonna, Timberlake, Janet, Latoya, Jermaine. Make it happen. Or are their egos too big? Nearly a million pple bought those tickets...they dserve their money back, or a show!

A tragic scenario no doubt, but after 2 days of listening to Michael's music continuously on TV, cable & radio, and not being able to resist the beat or the joy of the songs he presented, it further illustrates just how low the quality of music has dropped in the last 30 years. Now we have singers who cannot sing. They lipsinc at their concerts that have turned into really nothing but special effects. Britney & Jessica & a huge cast of other characters have no business even having a contract with any type of music company.
I'll take Smokey Robinson, Linda Ronstadt, Patti Austin, frankly any one from MOTOWN any day over the current group. Those performers can sing, and they didn't need fireworks, snakes or Daisy Dukes to put on a show and keep my attention. They showed up with musicians NOT technicians and sang songs that could move you to tears.
Treat yourself to "Ooo Baby Baby" by Smokey and see if it doesn't make you cry for good music.

If you wait until I die
To tell me that you love me
I cannot hear you.

GENIUS + GOODNESS + KINDNESS usually equals pain and loneliness for the holder of those traits. Now he is free from all the pain and we bear the greater loss.

Michael Jackson's tragic death: mass hysteria

The tragic deaths of thousands of Americans and civillians in Irag and Afghanistan/Pakistan: a collective shrug.

Joe Jackson right or wrong was his farther, he made mistakes in an effort to take his large family for poverty to fame and fortune. Were the cost high, yes, Oh the cost of fame are high and there are many other who will pay the cost, to achieve their dreams. Micheal cost were exceptionallly high for in his fame he had genius and fragile soul, he could not endure, his light shone much to bright, that the winds of life snuff it out with so little of what he had to give left unfinished.

Whenever someone can affect the world in anyway, for good or bad their passing is a hallmark for history, MJ did this in spades, through his genius he gave the world something and often we were mesmerize by his art. I remember waiting to see the new video of one of his songs for I expected to be wowed, and he never disappointed me. like me, many other will never forget the night of the moonwalk, I was blown away. that is genius, that is what we lost in his passing.

Michael's kids should get all of Usher's and Justin Timberlake's royalties. The two of them are nothing but pale imitations of Michael.

May Michael at last find the joy and peace that eluded him in mortal life. In the meantime I enjoyed his phenomenal talent. I saw him and his brothers perform at the Iowa State Fair in 1970. Michael was 12 years old at the time. In a sense, he never stopped being that young boy, perpetually in search of his lost childhood, even though he was twice married and had three children. R.I.P.
