I do not let my 7 year old son watch rap or music videos and I certainly would not take him to see Beyonce who performs as if she is making out on stage.

Though I wouldn't do it, I certainly think it is up to the parents. Beyonce is very tame compared to most other entertainers out there now.
I wouldn't take them because the last concert I attended had a two people humping in the aisle and the guy in front of me was smoking some special cigarettes. Plus it was so loud I felt like I had cotton stuffed in my ears for days. But that's just me.

Beyonce is a great entertainer in my opinion, I would love to go to a concert of hers.
I am officially jealous of the Obama girls. Everybody says Beyonce's shows are always great and I can never go to one.
I'm not a huge Beyonce fan, but a lot of girls Sasha and Malia's age are. To my mind, their mother did the TOTALLY appropriate thing- let them go to the show WITH HER along to chaperon. I have a son Sasha's age, and while I don't like all the same music he does, it's better to know what kids are listening to and be informed. I would also rather my son listen to actual music than junk like Disney TV's 'fake' kids produce. This was a fun night out for the Obama girls- their mother was responsible for them and it sounds like the show didn't have any inappropriate content. So there is no real reason for people to get worked up over it, except as haters.

Beyonce knew they were coming, she would have toned up her performance with that in mind.
It never ceases to amaze me the amoutn of people who come out and with this presidency think it is ther duty to tell them wat they need to do how and when. Non of these folks had much to say over the last eight years while the Bush daughters were acting crazy at parties drunk. No one had much to say about Hilary ambitions, Bills indescretions and how that would effect her pre-teen and teen age daughter. But some how or another everybody want to come out of the wood work. I wonder why now? President Obama isn't doing anything any other president before him hasn't done yet everyone want to know what he spends his personal money on for his personal outtings. First lady Michelle hasn't done anything any other first lady has done in the white hose which was carve out her own rol for herself yet everyone one wants to crtic her every move from the feminist getting thier panties in a bunch because First lady michelle choses to be an attentive mother to those who want to give her parenting lessons as I she needs them....
