There's nothing wrong with Beyonce as a performer. What scandals and debauchery has she ever been involved in? The only thing I ever hear about her is how hard she works. What is wrong with wingnuts? So jealous of everything. "Baby mama"? Beyonce doesn't even have any kids and she's married.
If I had known that the first black First Family would be under this large of a microscope, I would have braced for it. I honestly didn't see half the stuff coming. Again. I realize how racially naive I am and the world is a lot meaner than I thought it was.

Personally, the girls are a little young imho for a Beyonce concert - but that's just me. Took my kid to BEP/Gwen Stefani at 11 for her first concert, so I'll not toss too many stones. ;)
....hate to sound like a prude, but I am, so....I also wouldn't have taken girls that young to a "real" Beyonce concert. I like Beyonce, but I would have waited for a live appearance at some kid's event, where the song selection might have been a bit more limited and age appropriate. I don't mind kids singing "I'm a Survivor." But I don't want to have to explain why she enjoys her man's big, thick, wide and rough "ego," before they are even in high school. (...and please don't follow this up with how my kids probably see worse on t.v. We are a broadcast t.v.-free household, precisely so that they won't see worse on t.v.)

I wonder how you know that she has no intellect or character, but I'm guessing that the First Lady is very careful about whom she exposes her daughters to. She seems to have done a very good job as a mother so far.

Primarily, Mrs. Obama is the FIRST role model and teacher for her daughters.
Secondly, Beyonce is a product of marketing ingenuity due to her vocal abilities and talent as a performer. She's achieved success based on these merits and not by leaking s-e-x tapes and naked pics of herself to the Internet. She managed to keep her personal affairs private and was never tabloid fodder for promiscuity, drugs or criminal behavior. She has a close-knit family which includes highly protective parents who've guided her career over the years.
Don't conflict Beyonce's entertainment image with reality.
Lastly, Mrs. Obama is not looking to Beyonce as an academic role model for her girls. She, herself, is that.

The Obamas pay for their own and it's the law for them to cover their own expenses in these type of things. Beyonce is a good role model, for she is known for her hard work. There's no sex scandals, violence, children out of wedlock, etc. So yeah! I hope they had fun last night!

i am glad that michelle took her daughter to see old woman;at least michelle was with her kids.most parents would let their kids go to a concert without parental guidiance.the girls deserve to have some fun before michelle and barack give them a lockdown for summer programs(if they might do it or not)

Michelle Obama has a juggling act to do everyday, with her husband being Pres., and keeping her girls heads grounded with all the attention on them as the President's (young) daughters. But so far, the Lady is doing an excellent job.
