Palin Attacks Blogger For "Malicious Desecration" Of Trig Photo

Sarah Palin has teed off against another mocking observer -- this time a local blogger who edited a photo of the governor and her youngest child to include a local conservative talk show host.

In a statement sent to Politico, Palin's spokesperson said:

Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child.

The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling. To learn that two Alaskans did it is absolutely sickening. Linda Kellen Biegel, the official Democrat Party blogger for Alaska, should be ashamed of herself and the Democratic National Committee should be ashamed for promoting this website and encouraging this atrocious behavior.

Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned.

The blogger, Linda Kellen Biegel of "Blue Oasis," responded:

To those folks at a certain Palinbot site who think the picture above is of Trig, let me use a phrase many of you are familiar with...

YOU FAIL AT LIFE!!!!!!

It's called "Baby Burke" because it's Eddie Burke...basically his probable second-biggest fantasy about the Governor.

The photo was used to promote a fundraiser to request Palin administration records of "potentially questionable conversations between with "preferred" members of the media."

Palin and conservatives in general, as evinced by the right wings tendancy to think Colbert is a conservative, and Faux News is a serious news outlet, continue to demonstrate that they wouldn't know satire if it bit them on the ass.

here we go again, as Palin yanks on the strings of cheap sentiment and mock outrage in her effort to coddle the infantile tantrums of the over the top conservative mouth pieces.

Her outrage would be more believable had she shown some of the same when folks at her campaign rallies were shouting "kill him" and "terrorist" in repsonse to ::HER:: accusing him of palling around with terrorists.
She would be more believable if she had not dragged her kids all around the country for her political purposes, slinging the baby around like a sack of potatoes, and her youngest daughter always following behind her, looking for all the world like she was doing her very best to keep up with a mama who wasn't paying a bit of attention to her.
Her outrage would be more believable if she had not made Bristol totally reword what she originally said about "abstinance" to be more in line with her own beliefs.
I would find her more believable and sympathetic had she been more gratious in accepting Letterman's apology the first time, knowing full well he did not mean anything towards Willow, the 14 year old. She delibertely drug that out until even the folks that supported her were sick of it before she finally "accepted" an apology... his third.
I honestly do hope that one day she realizes what she is really doing, and I thank God every day that her many words of hate did not result in one of her supporters following up on their words of "kill him" that she herself promoted by her silence to their shouts.

While I totally agreed with the fake outrage criticism for the Letterman stuff - she milked it for all it was worth - this, however, is indeed in very poor taste. No they are not making fun of Trig (intentionally), but it is still using his photo and putting a man's face on top (for whatever reason).

As a parent I find it pretty bad.

If this was a someone you did like... say a picture of Hillary and Chelsea, and Chelsea was photoshoped to some deplorable image, would you still think it was ok? Still think because she is a public figure we OWN her and therefore able to make offensive images? That is was about something else... does this justify using a baby's image?

I don't like Palin, but it seems like when it comes to her, many of the Left will defend any and all attacks.
