Palin Attacks Blogger For "Malicious Desecration" Of Trig Photo

Sarah Palin has teed off against another mocking observer -- this time a local blogger who edited a photo of the governor and her youngest child to include a local conservative talk show host.

In a statement sent to Politico, Palin's spokesperson said:

Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child.

The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling. To learn that two Alaskans did it is absolutely sickening. Linda Kellen Biegel, the official Democrat Party blogger for Alaska, should be ashamed of herself and the Democratic National Committee should be ashamed for promoting this website and encouraging this atrocious behavior.

Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned.

To those folks at a certain Palinbot site who think the picture above is of Trig, let me use a phrase many of you are familiar with...

It's called "Baby Burke" because it's Eddie Burke...basically his probable second-biggest fantasy about the Governor.

The photo was used to promote a fundraiser to request Palin administration records of "potentially questionable conversations between with "preferred" members of the media."

Use of the term "desecration" implies that whatever was despoiled was, in fact, "sacred." The term is used appropriately when religious icons or other artifacts are vandalized.

The image of little Brisket, or whatever the kid's name is, is not a sacred object (at least to the rest of us, I don't care whether or not Sarah Palin believes that she is a diety - yet), and therefore it cannot be "desecrate­d."

Anyone can clearly see that the photo is not a photo of a baby. It has been doctored. I don't know why anyone would use the picture of Sarah with her baby; but it's not in good taste.

The more Palin rises to the bait, the more she will be baited. Is this a hard principle to understand?

Successful politicians have thick skin. (The alternative is to seem like a victimize whiner or a whining victim -- not exactly the image you want to have of a leader.)

Yes, of course the joke is in bad taste. But Palin's need blatantly to inject her son's disability into the complaint is also disturbing.

Bill O'Reilly and Sarah Palin seem like classic cases. Most CNs have had to develop survival skills that support their illness. Being hostile and defensive in the face of even a perceived threat is nothing more than a survival instinct. CNs must have an "enemy" upon which to project the dark, perfectly human, qualities they are too frightened to acknowledge within themselves.
Many NCs are very successful because a persistant drive and innate inability to accept defeat are highly beneficial traits in the highly competitive business world. Psychologically speaking, these qualities are dangerous at best - and from a spiritual perspective they are a death sentence.
The clinical narcissist is not evil. They are merely weak, frightened people who must at any cost, appear heroic and larger than life. Can the inevitable vacuum they experience alone be filled with evil? The question alone is terrifying.
If Ms. Palin is a clinical narcissist then she can not be intimidated with clever humiliations. Her willingness to appear on SNL said more to me about her personal needs than any concern she claims to have for anyone else.
