I love the WalMart commercials that feature the housewife saving money on summer time fun for her kids.
All I can think is that she should add this at the end:
"And I really need to save money now because my husband's job was outsourced to China after Walmart told his company to get their product price lower or they would not be buying their widgets for their stores. Thank God for Walmart!"

Everytime I see the Wal-Mart ad which states they compare stores to offer the lowest price to its consumers because it cares, I have an innerconflict: do I laugh or cry?
I argue with my sister always over Walmart. She works for the one of the few American shoe companies left and they import a majority of boots from China. Her job is also dissappearing. She thinks she is stretching her income at Walmart. She is giving up her income to the Walmarts as they are the leader of Chinese imports. ALSO the mentality working at Walmart is sad. She bought fresh onions and the clerk rang up the cost PER ONION> (not per bunch) she counted how many onions in a bunch (the green stemmed) and her onions cost her over $12.00 a bunch! So funny but she deserved it....!!!!

People thinking that they are saving a dollar at walmart are costing this country many more dollars. Putting Americans out of work and buying more from China is not saving a dollar! Also you Walmart savers, have you ever done a comparison study on cost of items? Have you ever thought you were getting something on sale (according to the isle prices) and caught the actual cash register ring up much higher than the advertised cost? Better start watching this as Walmart practices this all the time, banking on you NOT watching ! All BIG BOX retailers are costing America jobs and economy. China will own us completely in few years to come. They not only back us in bonds but they are here buying up real estate. We continue to look the other way and a FREE DEMOCRATIC CHINA will never exist. We might as well rename America as Amerchin or Chinamer. Change needs to not only be in Government, its needs to beging right here with in your personal responsibilty to one another.
Check all the labels on the electronics, toys and clothing you buy. Now, tell me, how many are made in the US?

There was a huge struggle in my town over a second Wal-Mart (this is a small town) and after the man who owned the land Wal-Mart wanted to lease essentially bought a new city commission the eyesore was built.
I'm thrilled to report the parking lot is never full, even at peak shopping times. The first Wal-Mart is not so full of cars either. It appears the 2nd Wal-Mart merely cannibalized from the first.
This town treasures its thriving downtown, its independently owned stores, and the quality of life we have here that is exactly what Wal-Mart hopes to destroy. It's nice to see the bad guys fail once in awhile.
Walmart isn't the only one I hate that every home depot has to have a lowes next door or across the street. I miss the mom and pop stores you used to find all over the country. Now every town and city looks the same!
We have a small Ace Hardware near us that we try to use as often as possible. We also have Home Depot, Lowes, and Menards - all within 2 miles. I also NEVER shop at Walmart.
We have a small, independently owned hardware store that we go to instead of Home Depot or WalMart. When you go in there you always see people you know and it specializes in the stuff you need for older houses. But, that niche is not the only reason why it survives. It survives because there are so many big box store haters in town!

Today, I'm so broke that I couldn't buy anything at Wal-Mart. That is the nadir of being broke.
Not only do they get most of the products they sell from outside of our country, but they also treat their employees deplorably.
At my local Wal Mart, they are giving away a shotgun and a box of shells to everyone who transfers over their anti-depressant prescription. Also, kids get a free meat slicer with the purchase of three fingered gloves.
I went to look for soccer equipment for the summer. No equipment but row and rows of guns and gun accessories. seems they didn't have enough room for sports equipment, PATHETIC!
Don't complain too much, the way things are going here you may need that shotgun soon. Not only to protect yourself from the government and bankers but to actually get food.

Walmart sends Americans money to China. They sell crap to the poor so that they have to come back in a few months and buy the same thing over again because the quality of the products is nothing compared to what American made products were. Furthermore Walmarts pricing for food is not really all that less expensive. Here is the Orlando area a news station did a report on Walmart actually charging more on many many items then other places, but only in areas where the average income was lower. Going to a walmart in a more affluent area actually got you lower prices than one in a poorer area. Walmart had no comment when shown the prices store to store.

Democrats? Where do you come up with these ideas; it is the white welfare queens that thrive on Wal Mart, and where else can old white men that have lost their savings during the Bush years get jobs?
Most of these old white men working at Walmart were not smart enough to have a savings! Live day to day and never look to tomarrow.

I have only been in two Walmarts in twenty years and hopefully I wont ever have to go in another one.
The stupidity of this store is frightening. If some kid had went into their parents cabinet and eaten a whole bottle of real meds thinking it was candy.....
What a sad state of affairs Walmart is. They cater to the poor for merchandising and that is no problem as long as you know what you are buying. But to delve into the area of foods, pharmaceuticals, and things that can affect your health and body is a whole other problem with this conglomerate and that's because anything from China that is edible should be restricted from selling in the US period. Anything from MONSANTO products should also be restricted in the US and Walmart sells all of this crap and the poor don't even know the danger they are bringing into their homes. Products okay. Food products definitely NOT!
So don't shop three! And for those that do they receive more than an overall 30%
discount on their purchases. And btw; it isn' the poor that shop there. The poor can't afford to shop.
What is it going to take for this country to learn that these companies that are becoming too big to fail are going to be our ruin.
It's going to take a complete mind makeover for the rich and famous in order to make them think about PEOPLE instead of the almighty DOLLAR!
