Palin To Kerry: "Why The Long Face?" (VIDEO)

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took a shot at John Kerry when speaking to troops in Kosovo.

The Massachusetts Democrat had joked that he wished Palin had gone missing instead of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford.

"He looked quite frustrated and he looked so sad," Palin responded. "I just wanted to reach out to the TV and say, 'John Kerry, why the long face?'"

Actually, it's not. It's a non-sequitur -- a response totally unrelated to John Kerry's original quip, "Too bad if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin."

Since it's pretty obvious Sarah Palin has no sense of humor, one presumes it's unintentional.

Fact of the matter is, what's really funny is that she kyped the "long face joke" from her recent nemesis, David Letterman, whom she just finished slinging a lot of mis-aimed arrows at for something he never said, or even implied.

She didn't attack Kerry, she made a joke about him, in reply to a joke he made about her.

Her voice. High-pitched, shrill, difficult to understand phraseology.
Her intelligence. The jury's still out because her true test, extemporaneous speaking and handling ad hoc interviews have not complimented her.
Her education. Hard-earned, obviously.
Her experience. Hacked into boss's computer to find information for whistle-blowing, redecorated her mayoral office for $50,000 without approval, left mayoral position with city owing $22M, approved taxes for sports center built on unsecured land (still in litigation), fired or vilified city leaders who adhered to "the letter of the law"; as governor, many "-gates", most still unresolved.
Her philanthropy. "Tithed" 1.5 percent of income to charity in 2007 and 3.3 percent in 2006. Donated RNC wardrobe to charity, so the story goes.
Her philosophy of life. "I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can't".
Her personal credo. Seems a bit challenged in terms of honesty, truthfulness, trustworthiness, helpfulness, courtesy, kindness, obedience, or thrift. Is loyal, however. Friendly and cheerful if you don't ask her certain questions, like "how can you balance caring for your family with being in politics?". She's reverent, although to which witch doctor and which religious sect, is unclear.
