Hilarious that most gossip bloggers declared Bradley Cooper gay. Oooops. Now he's Jen's main squeeze after merely spotting the two together at a restaurant. Can you imagine what your life would be like if these folks watched your every move? Scuttlebutt travels faster than reality. It is human nature to be drawn to the titillating. It is human nature to ignore reason in the face of a more fantastical explanation. Hence the interest in the increasingly disgusting and completely inaccurate (aka lying) gossip magazines. We live in a time when the global village is being amassed from its far-flung and previously disjointed composites. This time is a landmark moment. We are the ones entrusted to set its standard. We have failed thus far. But we still have a chance to redeem ourselves.
I've watched as the world has been increasingly drawn to celebrities as global icons and role models. This is a natural result of the huge growth of immediate global communication. With the advent of the internet humankind has jumped from celebrating the most popular kids in high school to celebrating, and debasing, the most popular kids in the world. Stars shoot up, but shoot down even faster. Did your nipple slip out of your dress? Never mind, I can find it in a google search!

I hear you. Being mildly interested in the entertainment comings and goings is one thing, holding these people up to be deities is another. You wonder if they realize that YES, actors and actresses are just PEOPLE like us! They just have a more high profile job that pays a lot of money.
