Just get rid of your lobbying firm, give back all that money you received from Pharma and Health insurance companies, quit hanging around with Bob Dole and support public Option Tom.

What's the problem? Take the total we all pay in healthcare.
Deduct the profits of Big Pharma.
Take out the insurance company profits.
Deduct at least a third of emergency room costs.
That is what health CARE should cost.
What we would SAVE is the cost of simple health problems that become critical or chronic because of lack of care - and a lot of people who are priceless.

Mr Daschle,
There is nothing difficult about single-payer health care.

All this talk about the difficulties is a big scam. It is a bunch of paper. It is all about keeping the INSURANCE COMPANIES--that we bailed out btw--in the business of doling out medicine and doctor visits.

Healthcare is a human rights issue. Something the USA pretends to support--human rights.

Rights are only for the rich and politically connected.

You are a disgrace, Mr. Daschle. We are not fooled for one minute.

We need Single Payer

Read the stories posted on President Obama's web site from us, We The People"

We come from all walks of life. nearly 20,000 PEOPLE die EVERY year do to lack of health care. This is a disgrace.

When the Republicans use the Fear tactic of having your health care "rationed" TELL THEM, it has been for 50 yrs with the INSURANCE industry. They look for any and all technocality to DENY your health care..And why would they Blue Cross, California Care, PacifCare, Golden Eagle, etc....do that? Because they are a FOR PROFIT industry ! To put it another way, if they deny your coverage, they make $$$$$$, for themselves.... it is a win win situation. They win because they can rake in tons of money while you are healthy from all your premiums and the moment you become sick, they will find a way to deny you care. Make sure you never answer surveys on the internet in RE to health questions about you. It can be something minor about headaches you get or gas relief, WHEN the insurance company finds out, you will be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition....

The only problem with the state public plans in oregon and washington is the level of funding. Both plans would be just fine with a mandate and the funding to cover everybody.

Daschle, thank God it was discovered that you didn't pay your taxes and had to drop from being considered for one of the biggest positions in the Administration. If you was confirmed you would have destroyed any health care reform.

Daschle, you are a tax cheat and a selfish S O B, now go away!

Exactly. Health Care - not Insurance. At least we need to have some kind of healthcare available to everyone. At least that will keep people out of emergency rooms. At least people will be able to get necessary prescriptions to keep them functioning. We need enough care to keep us from getting so sick we need extensive care when we could've been treated easily early on. A stich in time...

Of course it is difficult and complicated!

That is why you are paid the big bucks, Tommy Daschle, to bring this to people's attention.

After all, we don't want to lose a chance to endear the medical insurance industry to the vast numbers of Americans who have no health insurance or are so under insured they are one illness away from bankruptcy. That industry makes 40 cents of every dollar spent in America on healthcare, from their invaluable service of claim denial and application rejection. It takes a swell guy like you, Daschle, to convince us that keeping the current system is so much easier while people are dying from lack of fundamental care.

The fierce urgency of now will last another 25 years until the democrats get another fillibuster proof majority in Senate, a dominating position in the House, in the governs mansions, in the White House.
Tell us to go home, take and aspirin and relax. That's the ticket.

Daschle thinks this is difficult and complicated? Please. Perhaps if you take in lobby money and get twisted six ways from Sunday for decades by the industry, you might, might have a skewed version of what must be done on Health Care. But for the rest of us he is now part of the problem.

So does anyone have anything nice to say about Daschle ???

Seriously, certain advisors to our president should think long and hard about their future in this administration.

There is only so much crap that Obama will take from the DLC.

He tried to placate them, but it seems their hate knows no bounds.
They will stop at nothing to ruin Obama and the DNC's majority in government.

The difficulty is all that money he wont be getting if he goes with the public plan. Its the same old story, corporate lobbyists have this country by the balls.

The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
