I grew up in Australia. Nothing like having to think about the cost of health care as much as you have to think about breathing which is NEVER!! I had a government that cared about its people. Now I live in a country where the profits of corporations are put first and the well-being of the people is put at the bottom, if it is ever considered.

Don't know the answer but public financing of elections would be a good start. At least no rep would have to owe favors to corporations in exchange for donations. That's the way it is done in Australia, England, and just about everywhere else. It gives people a voice. Time to start fighting for clean elections in this country.

The saddest part is that those few word phrases that republican'ts repeat over and over on the airwaves are interpreted literally by 20% of the masses. It is really unbelievable. Yet, the fact is, they are a small minority, yet somehow they and the republican't phrases get the most airtime! The MSM is complicit in the deception and bias many times.

Mitch McConnell was on the evening news last Friday screaming about Canadians, British, French, blah blah blah. That is what someone does to appear strong, brazen whatever, because republican'ts equate winning a screaming match with winning the overall argument, which they usually ignore. Their myths and excuses are getting as flimsy and holey as swiss cheese.

It's difficult for him, because if the public option is offered, insurance companies will no longer be able to steal all the American people's money and then deny coverage when it's needed. Then he won't get as much money, if insurance can't compete. That's difficult when you think you're paycheck is going to go down!

When you're working on behalf of the people of this country, you can't compromise with the republican party, who historically work on behalf of corporations and insurance industry. They never have and they never will pass anything that will benefit the majority of the people! How can you possibly compromise with them? Any compromise would not help the people!

Do NOT HEAR that from Canadians ever...sho­rtage of doctors yes wait time but no one goes with out and emerg taken care of fast --cannot get operation in one hospital with hrs they find one you...... but all get taken care of...they Canadians have no such horror stories ever like ours------­-..nor massive advertisement ---waste$$$$ on TV commercials or their health insurance dollars being paid to lobbyist, paying out their congress people with insurance dollars ever
