The New York Post:

THERE'S a huge difference between what South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford did, and what ex-New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer did. "I didn't fall in love with any of them," Spitzer was overheard telling LMDC executive director Avi Schick the other day at Solo in the Sony Building on Madi son, where they had the $24 prix-fixe lunch.

This guy is such a sleaze.. He fails to point out that He spent 5 times as much money (penicillin treatments.....stripper college...pole burn ward visits) than Sanford did.

Ah...Spitz, either did Sanford. Trust me on this one, he didn't. He was just too stupid to keep it local.

This isn't an interview, this was an overheard conversation.

But on to the substance: what makes the cheating irreparable is if you fall in love, in my opinion, so it's easier the jilted spouse to forgive it. When you fall in love with the other, you now have a third person in the marriage. So yes, it was better that it was "just sex" for Spitzer. At least Silda doesn't have to worry about him wanting Ashley in particular and asking permission to go boff her.

This is why I cannot stand this guy. There is a difference. YOU BROKE THE LAW when is it going to sink in.

To say that he didnt fall in love with them? is that suppose to make him a better man.

Ugg I cant stand him I wish he becomes a rethug.

HE broke the law AND he resigned; Sanford broke LAWS and he won't resign.

I'm wanting for Sanford to come back with, "At least I didn't have to PAY for it."

For what it's worth, I'd say Spitzer's was worse because he was in greater danger of being blackmailed. But does it really matter?

Maybe he was complaining not boasting,...or just stateing a simple fact. Hate to see Spitzer's talents thrown away because of this. Somebody might have set out and paid big money to entice him just to bring him down. IT happens.

NEWSFLASH: Powerful men often end up becoming addicted to some sort of release, and it often ends up being women.

Well thank you for that anecdote bwither. That makes everything all better...... NOT!

I don't care what "powerful" men does for a "release", but IF they are already married and have a family.... no matter what, I would respect them more if they thought about for one moment, what their "releases" does to innocent people.... which usually are the ones who love and support these "powerful" men - NO MATTER WHAT.

I can respect any man "powerful" or not, who realizes after a lot of years, that he no longer loves his wife (and vice versa) or feel a connection with the family, (as it happens) if he FINISHES ONE RELATIONSHIP BEFORE HE STARTS ANOTHER. Where, in the end, SOMEBODY is going to get hurt and devasted, at least they're given credit for not making SOMEBODY feel "used".

When folks say "you can have it all", it never meant that these "powerful" people can have a full on family.... with several others on the side as well.
