The New York Post:

THERE'S a huge difference between what South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford did, and what ex-New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer did. "I didn't fall in love with any of them," Spitzer was overheard telling LMDC executive director Avi Schick the other day at Solo in the Sony Building on Madi son, where they had the $24 prix-fixe lunch.

Cheating is cheating, but I do believe there are different levels which can affect whether a marriage can stay strong or not. A spouse having a night stand would definitely hurt, but I think more people could get past that a little easier than if their spouse actually fell in love with the other person, calling them their soul mate etc.

This belongs in the entertainment section not the political section.
It is pretty funny though.

Not falling in love makes it okay? Hey Eliot keep your mouth you're making it worse. Believe it or not some are sympathetic to Sanford's declarations of love.

Like who? Are you speaking for yourself? A lot of us don't care if Sanford loved his mistress or not... It STILL was wrong, he STILL lied, and STILL hurt his family.... and most of all he was soooo HYPOCRITICAL.

Just because Sanford can write sappy love lines doesn't make his "trysts" beautiful.... Puleeze!

P.S. We should probably check to see if them "sappy love lines" were plagarized..... just sayin'.

And your point is Eliot Spitzer? What you did Eliot Spitzer was STILL just as wrong. So don't go getting all santimonious on us here. No, what you did was just prosecute the pimps 'n hos..... and then set up an account for your "regular" one. Trust me.... it doesn't matter if you loved 'em or not.... it was STILL hypocritical and wrong. Plain and simple.

The ONLY think Eliot Spitzer can say is that "I've been there and done that". Period.

She did an interview with US Vogue magazine a few months ago during which she mentioned that they were still together. Don't know about anything more recent than that.

I didn't know that Snoop Dog was writing Eliot Spitzer's talking points these days. He should have just said "We don't luv 'dem hoes!"

Eliot Spitzer was a much better governor than Mark Sanford could ever be, but, if he said this, it is one of the dumbest statements every made by a smart guy.

What Governor Sanford did was to be blind-sided by his humanity, which turned out to be far more powerful than his comfortable Christian preconceptions. Mark Sanford did not set out to have an affair or to turn a trick; he had a friendship that deepened beyond his ability to control it. Mark Sanford fell in love.

Ever been in love like that? I have. I understand how a thing like that can happen and throw all of your rational plans into a cocked-hat. Mark Sanford didn't set out to get an expensive piece of tail or to arrogantly pay for it with credit cards that led directly back to him. If Eliot Spencer actually said "at least I didn't fall in love with any of'em," he still doesn't understand what he did or why so many people found it offensive. What Governor Sanford did is tragic for his family but it wasn't sleazy; it was simply human in a way that the Greeks understood but Christians do not.

Now I understand why he got into prostitution in the first place.

Clinton was best. He chose someone who had a White House security clearance.

You ain't lying. Who would ever leave the country to go cheat or pay for a hooker to meet you while you're on state's business? Clinton was a seasoned cheater. I don't think he actually cared if he got caught.

Let me explain this to you Governor Spitzer. Sanford is a fundamentalist Christian, all of whom are intellectually challenged, emotionally unstable and sexually frustrated. You were just self destructively horny.

Most interesting to me is to see Spitzer and Madoff on your front page at the same time. A man who abused his office juxtaposed to a main who exploited his position. Both are selfish, self-righteous, self-centered individuals who deserve what they got. Had Spitzer still been the US Attorney, Madoff would have certainly gotten the chair!
