Air New Zealand's 'Naked' Ad Campaign

In its latest ad campaign, Air New Zealand has given new meaning to the overused business cliche "transparency." The struggling Kiwi airliner has decided to emphasize that, unlike its competitors, it has nothing to hide. Well, literally...

In the below video, extremely fit Air New Zealand employees draw raised eyebrows from travelers as they appear in body paint made to look like uniforms.

Starting Monday, the New York Times reports, Air New Zealand passengers will begin seeing similar clips in their pre-flight safety videos.

That commercial is anything but proof New Zealand has evolved. In fact I would say it has devolved. Resorting to sex to sell a product that is anything but sexy is unoriginal and shows lack of creativity.

I used to live in NZ and it was hardly pious or backwards. Great place, great people and the service on ANZ was far better than most airlines.

If ANZ is struggling, it is struggling because the economy sucks and people can't afford to pay 1700-2200 dollars to fly there when that is pretty much the cost of a whole vacation for most folks. But the ad is great. Don't know what your beef really is. It's funny and it's all over the world wide web. I'd say that's a pretty successful ad and I bet it will produce results, at least for those who can afford to fly.

America, and red states in particular, also consume a whole heck of a lot more porn than the rest of the world.
