Neocons are gritting their teeth right now watching British petroleum and a China state-run oil company secure 20 year oil contracts in the country they knocked over for Shell, Texaco and Exxon/Mobil.

I wonder if the Iraqis were able to change those Oil Production Sharing Agreements that the US companies wanted... or if they just got a better deal form the other bidders. It's tough to believe that Iraq is really in control of this process considering what's at stake here from the US perspective. Maybe we'll get an update that the largest fields were awarded to US companies.

Otherwise, looks like we blew up all that stuff and killed all those people for nothing.
