Karen Mulder ARRESTED For Plastic Surgeon Attack

Karen Mulder was arrested in Paris on Tuesday for repeated verbal telephone assaults on her plastic surgeon.

According to the Daily Mail, Mulder, 39 (or 41 depending on the source), is believed to have freaked out when her surgeon refused to reverse an unnamed procedure the former Victoria's Secret model had had done.

A detective said: 'She was screaming and shouting about the operation and became extremely threatening.

'There were repeated calls to the female surgeon who was extremely scared. The suspect is being interviewed.'

Mulder was arrested at around 10am and is being kept in a cell in the eight arrondissement, the epi-centre of Paris haute couture.

Mulder, who was a top model in the early 90s, later suffered depression and anorexia and was hospitalized in 2002 following an overdose. Since her recovery, she gave birth to a daughter in 2006 and returned to the catwalk in 2007 for a Dior show. She has also modeled for Yves Saint-Laurent, Chanel, Valentino, and Versace in the past.

Sheesh...you'd think women that are celebrated for their beauty would be the last to run to the plastic surgeon. It's like they are trying to one-up themselves. If you're already an accepted beauty, why in the world would you want to get involved in a crap-shoot like plastic surgery where 9 times out of 10 the recipient comes out looking worse??

Because, if you are known for your beauty, the first sign of aging has to be wiped out immediately. What you don't realize is that each surgery and procedure scars the tissue underneath your skin. You have enough of them and you'll never look normal.

I agree with the vice comment.....which makes me wonder if someone didn't manipulate the 2009 photo a little bit. Obviously she's had a lot of work done but plastic surgery doesn't make your neck look longer or your forehead narrower. In fact her whole face looks longer and I've never heard of a plastic surgeon being able to change the length from the top of one's head to their chin.

Inpatient! She needs to wait until the swelling and all the other stuff goes down. Doctors tell you to wait 4-6 months get see the full look. Why do beautiful women go bananas? They're always so effin neurotic or psychotic. I still say, stick with the Plain Janes. You can definitely dress them up & take them anywhere without all this high end drama!!!

The surgery was awful. Her anorexia didn't help either.

I've had an eye lift because my lids were very droopy. It's a genetic condition and it's covered by our Canadian health plan. It cost me $ 0. But this surgery takes a few months for the eye muscle to relax back into place. I looked a bit surprised too for a while but now, four months later, nobody knows and my eyes look great. She should just chill.

She has probably had too much unnecessary and ill advised surgery. Of course, her outcome will not be great. This is different that surgery for a lifelong problem that isn't going away and may affect your vision. I'm glad you had good results!
