But the most precious experience I've had running was a few summers ago when I was training for a marathon and my son Track—and I named him Track for running—would drive out in front of me and plant water bottles along the route. I felt so spoiled, like the queen of the running world to have a kid who was all cool with his pickup truck, dropping off water for me on my long runs. And he'd put a note on the bottles, saying, "Love you, Mom" and "Run hard, Mom." It was just the most precious summer of my life to have that and then to cap it off with an all-time marathon best [3:59:36]. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the whole world.

That is a sweet memory of a time a son and mother shared...that they both will carry with them forever.

Can I ask you why you made that 'snarky' comment?
TY : -)

It's not necessarily an obsession with Miss Congeniality -
it's the republican circular firing squad she feeds that I personally am getting such a kick out of.

Keep it up!

Interesting that while these charges about Palin are being bandied about in regard to who said what and why, no one is disputing the charges. The bottom line is that McCain lost because of bad judgement in picking her as his running mate to begin with.

For those of you that believe in such things, in your prayers tonight, be sure to thank God that this trainwreck never reached the White House. If all you neocons and conservatives think things would be better if that had happened, then carry on. Personally, I am going to break my nightime only rule, and smoke a bowl of thankfulness.

Enjoy your head. Those who complain about Obama at 120 dB might do well to consider where we would be under a McCain-Palin administration. The gloves would be off all around the world.

Someone remind me again. How many colleges did Sara attend to get her bachelor's degree?

I think she attended five community colleges, then finally an Idaho state college to get her journalism degree.

I say "I think" because I am not sure if it's five or six schools total.

What I find interesting is that no one has ever disclosed or discussed her GPA at those schools. I'd like to know.

I know her high school GPA was 2.0, barely.

And her lies continue! She lied in the Runner's World interview when asked if her story about falling during a run at McCain's ranch while prepping for the VP debate had been reported in the press. She replied, "Heck, no!" But, heck, yeah, it had. It was reported on all the news channels and in Politico among other places on October 2, 2008, the day of the VP debate when she arrived in St. Louis with a bandage on her hand. I heard it on the news! Read the caption to the photo:

Lying is natural for the GOP.

As the contra aid vote approaches, President Reagan claims he "just had a verbal message delivered to me from Pope John Paul, urging us to continue our efforts in Central America." The Vatican quickly issues a denial.

.....but lets not forget those great Democratic liars also, such as:

Bill Clinton (Zippergate)
Teddy Kennedy (Drowning-my-mistress-gate)
John Edwards (Zippergate II)
Nancy Pelosi (Waterboardgate)
Hillary Clinton (Sniper-fire-gate)

...and Barack Obama? Already fulfilling broken promises.

So what is wrong with her now? She is still acting the same, and it is too late to claim that now.

Here is what Palin suffers from:

Uhh, the comments he was refering to were in print. It's slander only if it is spoken, in print its called "libel."

Having read the VF article and being fully aware of Palin's "truthiness" and about faces on what she said to what she maybe didn't say, when I read (the account in NYT and now in VF) what she stated as her reaction while out of state and pregnant with Trig, I only thought "Palin again being disingenuous so as to rally the anti-Choice audience she was speaking to in upstate NY." The Christian evangelicals rightists love a confession, esp., here, where Palin essentially is saying she danced with the devil and Sarah won. Considering some of those who once thought they knew her and loved her, now consider her as exhibiting a narcissistic personality disorder, maybe Palin is the far right's anti-Christ.

That was such a long-winded meandering sentence, I just want to clarify: you actually quoted your own thoughts?

Governor of Alaska, yet last year she couldn't tell Couric one SC case other than Roe. This was just after the SC knocked down the Exxon Valdez judgment that directly affected millions of dollars that were to be paid to her state. Way to keep on top of things, sara!

It's a family feud that's been going on since Lee Atwater presided over the marriage of the Hatfields and Merrill-Lynch families back in '80.

Hard hitting piece? Hardly. I believed the hype so read the entire article. It lacked new revelations. Most of the article was old news that we heard months ago. The Narcissistic Personality Disorder information was new but really stretched the meaning of the clinical disorder. The article seems to confuse someone with a large ego and little political savvy with a serious personality disorder.

Trust that Sarah is a political figure who I abhor. That being said, I found that the article made her almost sympathetic at times.

What I found most revealing was that what draws people to her is also what eventually repels them: her manipulation of emotion and the drama that ensues.

I hate to agree with you LOL. The worst thing you can say to a woman is that she's hysterical. McCain's people and McCain himslef can't admit that failure the election was dur to them and McCain and McCain's desperate and irrational choice of a running mate so they attack Palin with having hysterical post partum depression etc. It's pretty mysogisitc too. They would never accuse a male running mate who put himself out there in the limelight once too often as vain, egotistical and suffering from an enhanced ambiton to take over the campaign etc. Palin remains a novice though with an inflated sense-of-self and we saw that when she recently signed a letter, not with her own name, but signed it as if coming from god. That's scary, very scary.
