VF: McCain Staffers Ascribed Palin's Problems To Post-Partum Depression

he crowds begin streaming into the Evansville Auditorium and Convention Centre a couple of hours before the arrival of the "special guest speaker" at the Vanderburgh County Right to Life dinner on a soft Indiana spring evening nearly 2,200 people in the banquet hall, 800 more in an adjacent auditorium watching the proceedings on a live video feed. The menu is thick slices of roast pork and red velvet cake, washed down with pitchers of iced tea, and when Sarah Palin finally enters, escorted by a phalanx of sheriff's deputies and local police, she is mobbed. The organizers of the dinner, billed as "the largest pro-life banquet in the world," have courted Palin for weeks with care packages of locally made chocolates, doughnuts, barbecue, and pastries, and she has requited by choosing Evansville, a conservative stronghold in southern Indiana, as the site of her first public speech outside Alaska in 2009.

Please bite your tongue. Every since I read your post, I've been fighting the urge to pop valiums like M&Ms, as just the thought of having Sarah Palin in our White House is too much to bear.

Can you just imagine what would happen if, God forbid, one of the world leaders who are not so keen on the US, said something not so flattering about her as POTUS? And how the fierce juvenile vindictiveness would come out of her to "get back at them"? We all might as well kiss our sweet a$$es buh-byeee!! It's just too much to take having to think about it...

What is disgusting is how so many journalists were trying to prop her up as being credible. If McCain had won, one can only imagine the trouble this country would be in with that lunatic and her hillbilly husband running around. Choosing Palin as his running mate, will be the lasting legacy that McCain will be remembered by.

If you recall there where quite a few journalists that attempted to grill her with very relevant questions. But each time they did the GOP spin machine went nuts. They trotted out the sexism card saying no man would ever have to endure such a grilling.
Of course the reason they had to play the sexism card was due to Palin's inept interviewability.
The thing I find horrible re; McCain's choice for VP is the number of GOP operatives that knew full well she wasn't qualified. Yet they complicitly and hamhandedly worked to spin her into a viable candidate.
Guess what we learned is they had their work cut out for them.

Oh boy... Here we go again with the juvenile Sarah Palin, who will now attack Todd K. Purdum of Vanity Fair, a member of the MSM who is jealous of her and out to get her, for writing these mean things about her..... which ABSOLUTELY none of it is in NO WAY at all true.

Get ready to hear her rail to anyone and everyone who will listen, (for as long as it takes) whether they want to or not, as she DEMANDS that Purdum apologizes to her, and at which point during her "acceptance of his apology" speech, she will thank the men and women who are fightng in Iraq for her freedom to say whatever she wants to say (sic). Then, she'll ask everyone to bow their heads and close their eyes for a "word salad prayer".... all while she'll be choreographing poses from different angles for the cameras.

And whether or not Purdun apologizes, her Paliban posses (all 15 of the Palibats/Palibees, TeamSarah) have probably gassed up the Paliban express bus, headed back up to New York, to use fowl christian language, in a protest/boycott in hopes of getting Todd Purdum fired immediately for bad-mouthing their prophet Sarah.... singing, "onward christian Paliban caravan"!!!

Checking with Todd Palin himself revealed that, no, they had had catastrophic coverage all along. She insisted that catastrophic insurance didn’t really count and need not be revealed. This sort of slipperiness—about both what the truth was and whether the truth even mattered—persisted on questions great and small."

There really wasn't much new in this article. More or less rehashing of what was either already published or readily apparent to anyone with eyes and ears based on Palin's own ridiculous public persona. She's the worst of both worlds--an unconscious incompetent who is not only woefully under-qualified, but is sadly equally woefully unaware of her own incompetence. She lacks the intellect, engagement and common sense to recognize her own limitations. Irritating if you have to deal with her on a personal level, devastating if she is ever allowed to impose her flawed character on the country. Since she appears to have paper-thin skin, we can only hope she is so distracted by picking fights with everyone who criticizes her that she won't have time to run a campaign.
