Argentine ants living in vast numbers across Europe, the US and Japan belong to the same interrelated colony, and will refuse to fight one another.
The colony may be the largest of its type ever known for any insect species, and could rival humans in the scale of its world domination.

I think that it's high time we waterboarded some of these little f****s and find out what they know.
Careful, the republicans will get to their leader first, and offer them assault rifles if they promise to go after abortion doctors.
I hope that "divine providence" -- little crumb for all the religious nutz that troll here, keeps these bad boys from ever talking to the republicans. Then they will want assault rifles.

There is more hope for earth after humans become extinct. The Argentine Ants can join with the roaches & other insects to clean & remove many of the traces & evidance of humans occupying the earth. That's all to the good.
And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted internet personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

This reminds me of a Robert Silverberg series of novels beginning with "At Winter's End" where humans emerge from an Ice Age to find that the Earth is inhabited by giant intelligent ants in huge colonies that stretch continents.
