The e-mails, obtained exclusively, also highlight the power struggle and thinly veiled acrimony that pervaded the relationship between Palin and the campaign's chief strategist, Steve Schmidt.

Hah, Palin is such a pathological l i a r. She tried to tell Schmidt that Todd "accidentally" checked the wrong box for party affiliation. The chairwoman of the AIP said that both Sarah and Todd were active members in the party. Palin sent them a video address. It is so obvious that McCain did no vetting on Palin. Salon dug up more on her anti-American e x tremist affiliations in a weekend than McCain's people did in a month. Poor Sarah. Every day she was screeching about how Obama pals around with t errorists and how he wasn't a real American while her and her husband were card carrying members of a secessionist party.

For me personally, Its because I get the feeling I'm on the sidelines about to watch train wreck at any minute... yes, it's a gawking instinct and I must say it's curious to me too.
Besides, she brings it on herself, the barracuda, so I guess in the end she'll get what she deserves.
I'm not afraid of Palin, but people like you who support this dim bulb and think she would be a good President scare the willies out of me.
It's interesting how lying is so easy for Palin, even in the face of the truth. Last night, I listened to her convention speech again and she lied even then. She said something to the affect that Obama (or his people) had made comments about her being a mayor, which gave her the lead-in for her "community organizer" not having actual responsibility like a mayor does. I didn't hear anything Obama or his people said about her from the time she was announced to the Republican Convention. If they had said anything, Fox News and Limbaugh would've made sure the world knew about it. I didn't like her from that night on.
She obviously has mental issues in addition to being very shtoopid. She says whatever she thinks her audience wants to hear,and has no problems saying things that she knows to be untrue.

Some people, seemingly the Palins, are so overwhelmed by the world, that the only way that they can function in it is to try to simplify it as much as possible. Economics is reduced to lowering taxes, foreign policy is reduced to "best friends and enemies" lists, and anything that can't be comprehended is wished/prayed away or set in the realm of mysteries that are either completed accepted without question or completely rejected without question. The only thing that matters in the world to folks like this are only those things that have immediate and specific self-gratification. To some extent, it's not a problem as long as they live in their own world. The problem is that the rest of the complex real world consistently challenges their simplistic view of the world and they strive to eradicate that which does not fit in their model or challenges it. As such, intelligence and thought are ridiculed, logic and empathy are to be eliminated, and anything different is to be feared. By itself, ignorance can really be bliss, but sometimes, especially with an agenda like Palin's, it can be extremely dangerous. Welcome to the real world; truth need not apply.

1) Obama's team was masterful at picking their battles. They never did, and still don't, give credence to the little things that will die out by the next news cycle or seem so ridiculous that their supporters can handle the comments on blogs.
2) Did she really not understand Todd's membership or did she think Schmidt was stupid?
3) She may think she has the endurance to beat Obama on a run, but she does not have the discipline and endurance to beat him on the campaign trail. She fought hard for a few months, but things like this convince me she could not run for a full two years, like Obama did, without self-destructing fighting the little stuff.
4) You would think that, as a mom of "five", she would have learned the whole "pick your battles" concept by now.

I just read that entire article and it's still amazing to me how Sarah Palin brazenly tries to manipulate situations to fit her own agenda. But I HAD NO CLUE that she attempted to manipulate her OWN CAMPAIGN into believing something that was clearly not the truth.
INCREDIBLE. Sarah Palin is an expert at using nuance to try and change people's perceptions of actual events. This woman is NOT to be trusted. Sarah Palin is deceptive and manipulative and it's the subtleties of how she tries to manipulate situations that is particularly scary. I honestly fear for this country if this woman is EVER elected POTUS.
What is the truth about her son who joined the Army?

Soooo, is Palin's son as patriotic as Sarah wants everyone to believe he is? Is the reason her son joined th Army because it was his patriotic duty?

Here's the kicker. Mudflats bog post today confirmed that Sarah Palin was also a member of AIP until she ran for Mayor of Wasilla. Proof is an actual copy of congratulations from the AIP when she won saying she was a member until she ran but changed it to "fit in". If anyone really wants to know the truth and more about her, they should read the many blog posts in Alaska.

she was positively dangerous. I volunteered for the Obama campaign and every time she held a rally in PA, the threats against the dems and our president increased.

Anybody else think that this is Palin's whole game in life...to find 'fights' and then 'win' them..even if she has to start the fights to begin with? the whole 'choosing sides' thing..and dividing people up into teams. that would be a bad, bad place for America to go to..we did that thru the whole Bush years.
