I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Mark Levin

Right-wing talk radio firebrand Mark Levin was a guest on Sean Hannity's self-titled Fox News show and unleashed a diatribe against President Obama.

Responding to Hannity's question of why his book "Liberty and Tyranny" is doing so well, Levin lit into Obama, calling his policies "Bernie Madoff times a thousand;" Obama "is taking a wrecking ball to this;" and that Obama's ultimate goal is to "destroy the middle class."

Hannity cheers him on the whole way through (his favorite way of referring to Levin is as "The Great One"), although it's questionable if the Republican party wants Levin out there as the face of their ideology considering the man has a history of embarrassing himself and conservatism.

WATCH

Mark Levin to Hannity:

Because I think the American people are fundamentally liberty-loving people. And what's going on in this country is really anti-liberty. The President, you know, they just put Bernie Madoff away for life; the President's policies are Bernie Madoff times a thousand. He is taking a wrecking ball to this society. The American people love this country. They love its institutions; they revere the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. What the President is peddling is something utterly foreign. He's dragging us into what de Toqueville called a 'soft tyranny.' And really I don't know what the limits are on the power of the presidency anymore. They used to call Bush an imperial president, which was ridiculous, this is a real, live imperial president, who wants to dictate light bulbs to what medicines you get, to student loans and credit card interest rates. He doesn't have the constitutional authority to be doing all these things.

[...]

He lied. Matter of fact he's taken his page right out of Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals. Saul Alinsky essentially said, look, you gotta sound like you're for the middle class. You gotta sound like you're from the middle class. And then you destroy the middle class.

OK, I can see where Fox News is a good story for Huffington.

1. Where is the story from yesterdays White House Press Briefing where Helen Thomas is accusing the White House from controlling the media along with the others from the networks.

2. Where is the story where another Amtrack Oversignt Inspector was "retired" the same day he met with officials regarding the train crash in Washingon, along with others Inspector Generals that have been "fired" by the White House legal team, e.g. Joe Biden's atty firm.

Where is the outrage !!!!

I would be outraged if you were to provide links of a reputable nature, so that I could see for myself if your Allegations hold water. Otherwise it is just your opinion...

BS. Helen had no voice with Bush and nor did the others. They would not have gotten back in the press room but thicko's just don't see it. Nick Robinson was THE only reporter with the guts to tell Bush he was 'in denial'. Short memory folks?

Robinson got a very hard stare from George W. Bush when he asked him if he was in denial about the situation in Iraq (since the most Bush had said about the situation was that the increase in attacks was "unsettling"). After a pause, Bush replied coldly "It's bad in Iraq. Does that help?". Nick Robinson had another run in with George Bush. At a press conference featuring Bush and Gordon Brown, Bush said to Robinson "you should cover up your bald head, its getting hot". As Bush walked away Robinson replied "Didn't know you cared", to which the President said "I don't". When Robinson appeared on Have I Got News For You in May 2008 the video was shown. During Bush's final tour of Europe in June 2008, in the press conference held at the Foreign Office with Gordon Brown, Bush joked with Robinson about still not wearing his hat.

Where is the story about the N.Korean ship with all the supposed weapons? It turned around without a shot or international incident. Thank God McCain is not president, we would have already invaded.

By the way, didn't Bush stage entire fake press conferences and write his own articles?

Levin and Hannity can be very shrill, I agree. For you liberal posters (most of you), is it that you have made a go of it, and just can not succeed? You have given up? You are tired and just sick of trying. Now you want the government to take care of your every need. Is that really what government is for? Do you agree with that woman who said of Obama during the campaign (widely shown on the news station that you all love to hate), "Now, I don't have to worry about my car payment, and my mortgage. If I take care of him (elect him), he will take of me?" Sounds like you all really want a Nanny state. Bring on the name calling, I know that's about all you can do.

"the government to take care of my every need"? Nope!

I just would prefer my government didn't sell us down the river to benefit the insurance and pharma industries. I know you guys love to screech about the "government control" of your relationship with your doctor and bureaucrats making your medical decisions.......well, first of all, that isn't how it's going to work, try to educate yourself, and second, who the heck do you think is making the decisions now?

The insurance industry is calling the shots and they are driven to make a profit which means the least they have the pay out for you the better. How do you consider that to be ethical, effective or sustainable?

You by the way are very much in the minority right now. Most Americans support a public "option" for health care. What I can't figure out is, why on earth would someone who is not in the insurance industry oppose an "option"? Why don't you want people to at least have the choice?

Apparently you are not that well informed, you seem to be under the impression that Gore came up with Global warming and somehow it is his creation. All he is and has ever been is a messenger for the Climate scientists that the energy companies up till that point have been effectivly silencing. Not to mention the whitehouse was engaged in bad science as well to stop any advancement in to reducing our polutting ways ... you seem to believe that we can do whatever we want with the chemicals we spew into the atmosphere everyday and not pay the consequences... Here is somehtig for you to try get in your car drive into the garage and close the door leave the engine running. If the exhaust from your car is safe you shoud lbe safe HUH.

Everytime I hear or see a fixnews commentator, I remember that it took the republicans less then 8 years to destroy this country and fill 25% of the people with negativism & pessimism. Fixnews viewers are so narcissistic and filled with hubris pride. Obama cann't simply reverse our misfortunes in less the seven months. To reach this point in American history it took the republicans 27 yrs of foolish ideology. Remember the main goal of Republicans was to create two classes the very rich and the very poor! When regan took office this country was the largest exporter of manufactured goods, largest importer of raw materials, and we were a creditor nation. In less then a quarter century they have reduced us to a second class nation! There was a time when an American worker was able to use a disposable income known as cash to purchase his material wealth now he is at the mercy of credit card companies! regan helped implode the ideas that getting a raise for your contributions to a company justified a raise! FU fixed news you demostic terroist organizaton!

["Bernie Madoff times a thousand"]

While Liberals think Madoff is a zero, he is the idealized form of the Rushpublican's zero regulation market' place. Coming from a right-wing t00l, that's actually quite a compliment.

Mark Levin has the current administration confused with the utterly failed Bush/Cheney administration who in eight years ACTUALLY destroyed the middle class in many parts of our once great country.

Fox "news" also accused obama of dragging the us towards "sagging european regimes". Which "regimes" would those be? The ones that have a higher standard of living and greater democracy, ones where people are not driven to the streets by healthcare costs? They really need to leave that alternate reality bubble of arrogance and see the world for a change rather than just rant about it.

You do know that their 8% would be closer to a 20% rating in this country, right?
Our number only counts people collecting unemployment, not the people out of work. Theirs does.

That would be the big British Government that supposedly keeps people dumb but who in fact in the year 2000 set up free computer training for every citizen. I in fact took a year to reach City & Guilds Diploma level 2 on Computers and became a tutor myself aged 58. I taught at the same college (Isle College) and had a class with a 16 year old and a 70 year old in it. They both graduated. The whole nation benefited. If that is a failed nation with free tuition and free health care and no one in debt over their health then heaven help Americans

I'm just wondering when this kind of thing becomes slanderous and action needs to be taken. Does it happen when someone listening to these two clowns think they need to hurt the president? Is that when something is done? This is just insane. See the guy who said it would be great if Osama Bin Laden attacks the US. WOW.

Nope, not even then because there will be no connection. Unless someone tells someone else to go hurt someone, and then they do it you cannot prosecute. Secondly, what he saying is not slanderous; it is your opinion that says it is, but that does not make it legally so.
