To the surprise of nobody who lives there, Canada has come in dead last on a climate report card prepared by the World Wildlife Foundation. The US is close behind, but at least is going in the right direction.

In no way has Canada failed. It has followed policies that will lead it closer to "energy independence" than either the United States or the European countries. It has encouraged new methods of extracting fuels, and expanded the network of pipelines that connect to the continental United States.
It has also encouraged biofuels, and other alternative energy sources.
We failed because we have a Conservative Prime Minister from Alberta who has no problem watching that province rape their own land in the tar sands in order to make a quick buck. Once the market for their dirty oil has slowed down, they'll be wondering why no one will buy their beef either, since the cows will be feeding off toxic sludge tainted feed and water.
You have only had a conservative prime minister for a year. Hardly time for him to rape and pillage the land.
Oil - in fact, all on-shore natural resources - are a provincial responsibility under the Canadian constitution. Alberta has had a conservative government since the thirties.

The theory of man made global warming is now nothing more than propoganda, an agenda
being supported by political groups. Science does not conclude that humans are the cause of a slight rise in the earth's temperature
over the past 30 years. There is no consensus from the scientific community that man is the
cause of global warming.doubt or go against the global warming theory is unthinkable.
Now many of you may consider yourselves liberal, maybe not on all issues but at least on environmental ones.
So as liberals, you are supposed to be open minded.
Man-made carbon dioxide is only 0.117 percent of total carbon dioxide in the air and contributes only 0.0047 percent carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.
The average person has been misled and is confused about what the current Global Warming debate is about, greenhouse gases. None of which has anything to do
with air pollution. People are confusing Smog, Carbon Monoxide (CO) and the pollutants in
car exhaust with the life supporting, essential trace gas in our atmosphere, Carbon Dioxide (CO2).
Carbon and CO2 (carbon dioxide) are fundamental for all life on Earth. CO2 is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic gas.
Denial is the most popular propaganda.

I still can't help but think "pro wrestling" when I see the letters WWF. I know, the Wildlife Foundation won the lawsuit, but the thought of, say, Randy Savage delivering a report on climate change brings a smile to my face.
LOL - I would pay to see that!
1. Yes, yes, awesome.
2. Canada sucks at dealing with climate change, but our lower winter temperatures will mean more of an inherent carbon footprint than someone living in, say, Arizona. That aside, we still fail right now even at keeping pace.
