Supreme Court Sotomayor

New York Times:

"We have 60 votes on paper," Senator Harry Reid, the majority leader, said Wednesday in an interview. "But we cannot bulldoze anybody; it doesn't work that way. My caucus doesn't allow it. And we have a very diverse group of senators philosophically. I am not this morning suddenly flexing my muscles."

Indeed, becoming the first party in 30 years to reach the fabled plateau of 60 could create as many political problems as it solves, raising expectations sky high and potentially causing a backlash should Democrats falter on energy or health care.

Harry Reid, please go away and give your job to someone who is qualified for it.

Harry will not bulldoze, but he will roll-over. Sounds like he's writing a personal ad in a dating magazine.

Voters here in Nevada are watching and listening to Harry Reid. Bush bull dozed Harry Reid nad Nancy Pelosi many times.
What ever happened to standing up for the people who elected you?
Another election will come and unless Reid stands up for the people who elected him-he will go the way of the other 19th century politicans.
What a dissapointment!

Harry is not a big supporter of democracy and serving the people. He has always been a corporate elitist, and that will always be his master.

ok, that's it. I'm sick of this rag weed coming up with excuses. He is not a leader, he is not a fighter (regardless of his being in a ring) and he is not a democrat.

Get his a_s_s OUT!

If Dems can't do anything with 60 votes, they are not worthy of leading the country. As much as I hate to say it, Republicans are better leaders, trust me. If Republicans wanted health care reform, they would have got it done long time ago. After all, they got the stupid war bills done, despite their unpopularity. So, if nothing comes with their 60 votes, vote all Dems out. They are wimps and have no idea where to take the country.

I find Republicans are better followers. They fall into lockstep much more readily.

Yes, but unfortunately timewaster is right.
The Republicans would absolutely find a way to get it done if it was on their agenda and yes, they would be in lockstep as always.

They would find a way precisely because they could care less about bipartisanship.

Harry's got a bad case of political Stockholm syndrome.

We desperately need new Democrats in Washington, it's pretty clear the old ones are badly broken.

Is it possible to remove this guy? He's becoming more useless everyday. If the Republicans could bring themselves to vote against something in unison, why can't Dems? It's all in the strictness of the leader. Pelosi and Reid would topple Obama's administration, no doubt about it. Who elected the wimp anyway?

Obama and the Democrats are not going to do it. Obama campaigned for him. The earliest opportunity is next year because he's up for re-election. If a fellow Democrat can't beat him in the primary, I'll settle for a Republican beating him in November. We can make up his seat somewhere.

Harry needs to get caught going to Argentina, then maybe we could get a real Democrat in charge.

How does he get to be the leader of the Senate? Surely not on leadership, skill, courage or intelligence.

What did we work so hard to elect Democrats for? We have been betrayed!

I am afraid, you are right. Spineless democratic senators blow our victory. Sham on them!

Maybe not bulldoze, but present legislation that's thousands of pages long and attempt to vote on it before it's even read. So much for the "open" government that The Obamasiah promised.

Any bill that you want to wade through is posted at WhiteHouse.gov. That has never been the case before. This government is not only more transparent than the last one but any previous one.

Anything you don't know now is because you don't want to know.

I know what's going on, and it does not look good for the home team. And it hasn't for over 50 years.

Gotta love the Harry Reid. He's a closet Republican - Blue Dog DINO, and he's stubburn. Bad combination.

In his corrupt hands even 80 votes would not mean much. I hope somebody challenges this clown when he is up for reelection.
