I might be wrong on this... but don't whales eat jellyfish? Karma's a bitch.
They have over fished all the oceans of the world. When you do that you should expect nature to retaliate. I hope they're poisonous.
Sumo wrestler-sized jellyfish? And I complain when I swim across the tiny ones! What has happened to the sea turtle population to have such an imbalance?
People eat jellyfish too.
They're over Godzilla?
I sure hope the taste good with soy sauce
Given their wanton destruction of whales and dolphins for starters, I figure they're in line for "Invasion from the Sea" ....
Bon appetit!
When I had my sail boat at Marina Del Rey we had the same thing there. I thought about it and sensed they were running from something, not attacking.
Help them.

There was a special on Jellyfish invasions on Animal Planet i believe. Pretty interesting, especially the box jellyfish, you could be dead within three minutes of it stinging you.
Its a little strange how we (humans) are at the top of the food chain on land, but in the water its a different story. We know so little about the oceans, and I think we've only seen Giant squid alive once or twice
There is a type of jellyfish out there that reverts to different stages in its life where it can theoretically live forever
Call in Spongebob Squarepants!!!!
I hate jelly fish. I absolutely hate them. If I'm in the water and I get eaten by a shark, more power to that shark. He put in the effort and thus deserves to eat me. However, if I get stung by a jellyfish, it is because he freaking accidentally bumped into me or he was hidden by the sand. I hate jellyfish.
I hope Argentine ants develop a taste for them a rid the world of these lazy menaces.
Lazy menaces! Hilarious! I got stung by a couple little ones recently. Very little pain in intensity or duration, but what a P in the A they are. Lazy menaces. I'm going to remember that.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. The jellyfish won't even eat you, it would just "swim" away like the grocery bag with poison it is.
