Levi Johnston On RNC: "That Was Ridiculous"

"That was ridiculous," Levi says of the RNC. "I was just like, 'Uhhh.'  " At the time, the Palins insinuated he'd have to move to D.C. if McCain won. "I ain't never moving," he says with a shudder, thinking back. Luckily for him, his team lost. He and Bristol broke up early this year, shortly after they welcomed baby Tripp Easton into the world. But the life of this self-described "fucking redneck" did not go back to normal.

I'm sorry, but this is just TRIPE. In the US and in Western Europe, we have kids Levi's age with far more nous, ambition and education and they are on their knees, even for bar work ... and this kid is travelling the length and breadth of America, staying in Five-Star accommodation, travelling First Class, being whisked about in limos, with a bodyguard, a publicist, the possibility of a book deal (can he even read?) and a motion picture and for having done WHAT?! Dipping his wick in the forbidden well of a ditzy politician's daughter and getting her up the duff? This kid can't even string two words together to complete a coherent thought. Have we, as a nation, REALLY come to this triviality?

Well, how is that different, really, from Paris Hilton & that kind of celebrity, who does nothing, except look good & do outrageous things? The only difference is that he appears naturally good looking & Paris & her ilk seem carved into their looks - but it's not like we have a lot of brilliant tabloid stars.
