Michael Bay Megan Fox

wsj.com:

This coming weekend could make Hollywood history for Michael Bay, the movie director behind the big-budget epics "Armageddon" and "Pearl Harbor." His latest release, the $200 million action-adventure movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," is poised to possibly become the biggest opening in Hollywood history, with estimates that it could gross more than $200 million by Sunday's end--rivaling the record-shattering totals for last summer's "The Dark Knight." But the 44-year-old director, who has a predilection for massive budgets and pyrotechnic explosions, has already set his sights on a radically new goal: making an art film.

(God help us all. The man who got where he is because of a frickin' COKE commercial or whatever the HELL got you on the lot seems to think he's a freakin' ARTISTIC GENIUS and should now be trusted to make "small, dark, ARTISTIC "pictures" -- angels and ministers of grace, defend us.)

You are arrogance personified, and I cannot think of ONE film you've made that does not make me want to take Demerol directly into my eyeballs.

And yeah, you may take note of my name and make sure I never eat lunch in this town again. I am QUAKING in my boots.

They both need to go hide somewhere. That movie was horrid!

Somehow I have the feeling that Megan is much better off playing easy characters (if we can speak of a character), but I agree with her that this movie totally sucks. It goes in the top ten of the worst movies I've seen in my life!

Bay's just mad because she rebuffed his advances.

When Michael Bay say's anything I roll my eye's.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence became big stars despite being in one of his movies.
Ben Affleck, and Nicholas Cage were already huge enough stars that those movies didn't kill their careers.Although lord knows why.
Michael Bay's next move is to ruin Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece 'The birds'.
Ok! Michael I get it.You can ruin anything you want.

Totally agree with you. I actually lost a lot of respect for Ben Affleck after he did Pearl Harbour. And isn't it Michael Bay who is going to do a remake of Rosemary's Baby...with Jessica Alba? Ugh!!!! I shudder to think of how bad that's going to be. Someone needs to stop this man, he's a menice to good film making.

Being a woman myself, I think Meg is a lump-some of a hypocrite with full of contradictions. If you don't want to be treated like an object, then don't act like one.

I don't blame Megan Fox....T2: ROTF was shameful...especially the treatment of the female actors....

The movie objectified women...The opening scene introducing Megan Fox's character is reminiscent of those soft core cable movies seen between 1:00-3:00am and it went downhill from there

AND what was up with the dogs and the little robot on Megan's leg?!!!!!!!

AND don't get me started about the twin robots... Jar Jar Binks X2

But then again it is a Bay movie.....crude, weak or non-existent plot with lots of explosions....just right for the average neanderthal

Sounds like somebody didn't get asked to the prom. Those poor objectified women that make millions of dollars for reading lines and jumping over boxes, while the "neanderthals" that watch the movie make if they are lucky, the same amount of money in a lifetime that she made in just a few months. Your name says it all.

It's way too early to tell if she will have any staying power. Have to admit she is really stunning.

But there's absolutely nothing upstairs. At least when I saw her on Letterman.

Couldn't care less what she thinks of Bay's movies - thanks to all her anti male comments i'm hoping she will soon be relegated to the coulda-been pile.

Megan Fox is truly hot, but she is the Hollywood Actress 'Flavor of the Month' and I guarantee we will be asking, "What happened to her??" in about 7 years. Every 5 years there is a Jennifer Love Hewitt, or Jessica Biel, or Jessica Alba who is in a summer movie simply because of their looks, and Megan Fox is that person now.

"Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him"
Indeed, there were just a few second-class directors on his resume before you spotted him: Coppola, Alan Parker, David Lynch, Barbet Shroeder, Norman Jewison, Joel Coen.
I just can't wait to see your small dark comedy, probably an Academy Award waiting for you Mister... Bay?

Megan Fox was right, and is the only one with the guts to say what everyone knows to be true.

Whatever, she's hot. Based on the way Hollywood operates he probably hit on her and she didn't go for it. That's generally the only reason directors slam anyone.

Plus, considering how many teenage guys went to see the movie she added at least a $100 million to his box office so he ought to just be thanking her.

Bay isn't the problem; he's limited by his own construct and inflated ego. Blame those who support his mindless approach to film-making. Then, realize that nothing's going to change. Frenetic eye candy will always sell tons of tickets, because the mass audience doesn't really care about the art of storytelling.
