This coming weekend could make Hollywood history for Michael Bay, the movie director behind the big-budget epics "Armageddon" and "Pearl Harbor." His latest release, the $200 million action-adventure movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," is poised to possibly become the biggest opening in Hollywood history, with estimates that it could gross more than $200 million by Sunday's end--rivaling the record-shattering totals for last summer's "The Dark Knight." But the 44-year-old director, who has a predilection for massive budgets and pyrotechnic explosions, has already set his sights on a radically new goal: making an art film.

Ok. I don't mean to be too catty here, but I saw her on David Letterman and for a 23 year old she has the neck of someone much older. Her face was completely smooth and then her neck was wrinkled. Maybe not 23 after all...

That Mr.Bay can get his head through a door would be a feat of tremendous..er..ah..special effects. Fortunately for the actors he mentioned they escaped the monochromatic scripts and witless direction of Mr.Bay to better roles, better films and better directors.

I don't agree much with Megan Fox, but she's absolutely right concerning the relevant quote.

Can anyone point to something that Megan Fox has said that is ridiculous? If what she is paraphrased as saying in this article is the example, I don't see it, because what she said was true and not at all crazy.
I honestly don't know much about her, because as far as I know she hasn't done a movie yet that I'd watch. Is there some other example out there of her saying something silly that Bay could be talking about? She say something dumb on Letterman or something?

Mr Bay later goes on to explain how no one knew who Nick Cage was until he made the "Rock" and how no one knew who Ben Affleck was till he did "Armageddon".

No one except the people who gave them their Oscars, and the casting agents who kept putting them movie after movie( In Cages case around 30 before he did the "Rock").

By the way Mr. Bay, do you really think these movies were the bright spots of their careers?

The young lady might say ridiculous things ( are they really that ridiculous? Isn't it the exact reason why everyone in Hollywood makes fun of Michael Bay?), but at least they aren't insane.

Bay makes thrill rides not films, and that's just fine as long as you don't take your self to seriously, the actors in his films should be thankful of two things, the paycheck and the fact that he didn't blow them up.

I would say he is a better editor than he is a director, but in the end it's all about the money and that applies to his films and the actors in them. Let's see how the "art" film turns out.
