His latest release, the $200 million action-adventure movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," is poised to possibly become the biggest opening in Hollywood history, with estimates that it could gross more than $200 million by Sunday's end--rivaling the record-shattering totals for last summer's "The Dark Knight." But the 44-year-old director, who has a predilection for massive budgets and pyrotechnic explosions, has already set his sights on a radically new goal: making an art film.

While Bay is certainly not a Kubrick, and I generally do NOT care for his films, he IS, none the less a "good" director (that is he really does know how to make a film). I really enjoyed his gentle slamming of a dime a dozen, high on herself barely above mannequin actress. Wake up young woman, fast, or your career is heading for the tank. Please do not talk about acting chops until you display even a modicum of acting activity.

PS --Image Google Megan Fox and you will see that alot of her so-called hotness is, well, derived from the excellent talents of others (hair and make-up).

I noticed that, too. Her skin is atrocious and she's really a plain Jane without all of that professional help. Nothing wrong with that-we all have faults, but if you can't act, perhaps you should just milk the cows and shut up.

Yes, Megan Fox says some ridiculous things. But that's okay. Michael Bay makes some ridiculous movies.

True, but sometimes he gets it right, and the ridiculousness is the fun kind. You can never tell with Bay. Bad Boys was terrible, Transformers was fun. Pearl Harbor first half was good, Pearl Harbor second half was bad. I don't know what the difference is between the ones I like and the ones I don't.

I don't think it's fair to say she can't acting. I mean, we just haven't seen her do it yet. And if she's "so mouthy" can she not land a better, less boring part? Or is Bay just totally not willing to consider it and would rather have her up there as the most boring hot 'piece of ass' of film?

Its not like she doesn't have a point. Michael Bay movies are explosion extravaganzas. He doesn't focus on story or acting. That being said Megan Fox is not famous for her acting.

Well, that's what he does, and there has been no secret about it. No one watches a fireworks display and asks, "where was the character development?" That's the proper frame of mind to approach a Michael Bay movie. Based on his track record, no one has any argument for expecting anything else from him, and that includes Megan.

For someone who can't act. Megan's best bet is to stop grandstanding, or she will end up and not have any acting jobs.

That quote was taken out of context. I saw the interview where she said it. She was not ungrateful at all.
