Rachel Maddow: Gone Fishin'!

Wondering where Rachel Maddow's been all week?

While Executive Producer Bill Wolff's wife Alison Stewart has filled in, Rachel's been on vacation fishing in Massachusetts.

Cape Cod's Nelson's Bait and Tackle shop reported that Rachel joined them for a trip on the fishing boat the Beth Ann last weekend, and Thursday morning she tweeted a photo with a prize catch (see below for full version).

"Have caught all fish in sea. Sorry! Ready to think politics again soon," she wrote.

Great job Rachel on the catch, have fun and relax!
I agree Rachel's show is no different than it has been since it started and it is some what like her radio show.
She may have had to do a few days on the Michael Jackson story but everybody did that, I do agree that there have been some things myself I found less interesting, but I like her take on things with her sarcastic humor, her facts, she deals in facts and maybe some people just can't handle the facts.

I hope Rachel takes the time off and reflect on the direction that her show is taking.

If she wants to be an activist, she should quit and do it full time.

As it is, her show used to be informative and entertaining is now boring and unwatchable.

Exactly how would you say the show has changed? I'm curious because I haven't noticed a wide change, but haven't been paying close attention to that sort of thing. To me, the main thing that is different is the subject of the news stories. It's possible that before what she was focusing on was more interesting to you personally and now, not so much.

No, it is not that we don't like her views. It is that she allows her views on the same, predictable short list of her top priorities sap all the time from those pesky little issues, like the Wars, the Economy, Healthcare, Education, Energy. She thinks what we really want to know about most and for the majority of time iis DADT and the like. That's what has made so many former viewers. She is on her way to professional obvlivion. A mind is a terrible thing to waaaste.
