Sanford's Book Deal Off

Yesterday, word came out that Gov. Mark Sanford had a book deal for a weighty, pre-admitting-to-crossing-lines, tome outlining his 'policy beliefs.' Hold your breath for it no longer: the deal's off.

From his publisher, Via The Page:

"Sentinel has agreed to release Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina from his contract to write a book about fiscal conservatism, which was to be called WITHIN OUR MEANS and was scheduled for publication in March 2010. This is a mutual decision. We wish Governor Sanford the best."

In all fairness the last Romeo made quite a splash in theatre and literature. I think Mark should abandon politics and take up poetry, acting and modeling for Romance novels. He just got into the wrong field!
Of course he'll have to let his hair grow longer.

Well, sheesh he's been giving it away for free. Why would they pay for that. Although, I'd like to have had ONE MORE reference to point to for the glories of "social conservatism" because that book by Bill Bennett is getting kinda tattered.

MORE. We want MORE Sanford!!!! We need all the evidence we can get for 2010 and beyond.

Not anymore, this gentlemen wants the world to know every emotional detail of his private love affair with someone other than his wife.

It would be incredibly inappropriate if he talked about his love life that he had with his wife, why must he do that about his mistress?

Bring back the guy who bought a large coke and 3 straws for himself and his buddies to share.

Republicans call themselves conservatives when it is advantageous to them and only on paper. Think of all the things in the past 3 months and now. Ms. California - Prejean posing nude for photographers and then touting herself to be a christian of good moral values. When questioned- blamed the photographer taking the shots without her knowledge. Sen. Ensign and Gov. Sanford for flings, Gov. Palin quitting in the middle of her term for unknown reasons. Perhaps, we should all stay tuned for more stories from the so called conservatives.
