Madonna Plans Michael Jackson Tribute

LOS ANGELES — Madonna is paying tribute to Michael Jackson in the same arena where he was to stage his great comeback.

The superstar is preparing a special part of her concert Saturday at O2 arena. Madonna publicist Liz Rosenberg says she is going to unveil a special choreographed dance in honor of Jackson.

Michael Jackson was to perform his comeback concerts at O2 starting July 13. He died last week at 50. He had been rehearsing for those shows in his final days.

What is hard to believe is that celebrities esp in Hollywood haven't stepped up to the plate to cover the expenses that the MJ Memorial will cost the city of LA. Where are all the well paid Movie stars, music, politicians ect... in California. What about your fans ? It will bring nothing but goodwill to step-up and donate to cover the cost involved. Contact the news outlets. They will publish your name and probably your up and coming projects. 1.4 million fans willing to spend hard earned money to attend the service. Madonna is someone whom I loved to hate, until I saw her on the Grammy's about a decade ago. I can't believe I actually watched the Grammy's -- anyway she gave a performance that made everyone else look absolutely puerile. She's not a great singer, but she is outstanding as a performance artist, a phrase that I used to ridicule until I understood what it meant. And even though I used to love to hate her, I still liked her ballads. She has good taste, and she'll pay a proper tribute to Michael/

It means that she is not a singer. She is a performer, and her performances are works of art, whose quality is a matter of opinion, one that should not be based solely on her singing, because singing is only part of her art. Sarah Vaughan, on the other hand, was an outstanding singer akin to an opera diva, one whom the best jazz musicians of her era regarded as their equal. I would never say that Madonna is an outstanding singer.

Way back, I mean a week ago, I said check the pulse of the dancers when we were shown pictures of rehearsal situations and after listening to Miko Brando.

Watching LKL last night, I believe that Travis Payne, Kenny Ortega and Misha Gabriel were telling the truth.

It was surreal to see Kenny, Travis and Misha speaking about Michael, as my daughter has taken class from all three. I don't believe they are prevaricators from my experience with them.

The worst concert I went to , was Madonna's. Lights, mirrors, too many dancers, fireworks but there was NO singing. The Parking was horrible, and you didn't know if Madonna was really on stage.

people, relax. Don't u see that she's probably all messed up about it too? They were both young adult superstars fighting for top ten back in the days. She probably feels really affected by his death. Perhaps even reminded of her own age. I think she intends to do this out of love and respect and because she can.
