Madonna Plans Michael Jackson Tribute

LOS ANGELES — Madonna is paying tribute to Michael Jackson in the same arena where he was to stage his great comeback.

The superstar is preparing a special part of her concert Saturday at O2 arena. Madonna publicist Liz Rosenberg says she is going to unveil a special choreographed dance in honor of Jackson.

Michael Jackson was to perform his comeback concerts at O2 starting July 13. He died last week at 50. He had been rehearsing for those shows in his final days.

I went into my veterinarians office, and everyone there was talking about the Michael Jackson memorial. I called my 90-year-old father this evening, and all he wanted to talk about was what a great dancer Michael Jackson was. Same with the grocery store, at my job, and everywhere else. He is on the minds of many. I am glad that Madonna, who knew him and considered him a friend, is going to honor him. (And she had better do a good job of it).
