Sarah Palin will announce later today that she will not run for reelection as Alaska Governor when her term ends in 2010, multiple media outlets report.
The decision leaves her free to pursue a potential presidential bid in 2012.

Since she has a history of quitting jobs, how can this be a total surprise? The surprise would have been that she HADN'T quit.
Palin quit her job when she was chairwoman of the Alaska Oil & Gas Commission too. She's a quitter, pure and simple.
