Murdoch: No. That's nonsense. I don't think it's for sale anyway. I haven't even thought about it. But I would imagine that it would be legally and politically almost impossible, so I'm not thinking about it.

Great! Maybe the NYT can make a profit and become Fair & Balanced, like it used to be decades ago. What's the Left to do? Don't worry Obama will Nationalize the paper before Murdock can buy it.
Boy you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Do you actually think that the NY Post makes money?? It hemorrhages tens of millions of dollars a year in losses. Rupert keeps it to have a voice in the NY daily newspaper market. He's kind of sentimental about newspapers because his father was a newspaper man, and Rupert started his media empire with newspapers. He'd LOVE to get his hands on the NY Times. It would be the ultimate feather in his cap, and trust me there's nothing 'fair and balanced' about the way Rupert runs his newspapers including the way they report 'the news'.

Seeing people like Murdoch orchestrate everything is a great reason to never buy a newspaper or watch a news channel.

Why don't we just let Murdoch buy all newspapers so only the 18% of Americans that believe in that philosophy can be the only ones left holding the print?
At that point, nobody except them will buy any newspapers anymore, so just get it over with and let them dye.
