I've learned some valuable things about life, love, and being female over the past half-century. Here is the advice I try to pass on to younger women in my life (family and friends) in the hope that it will save them some precious time.

11. Remember that all those party pix you post on your My Space page, of you making out with your BFF and drinking bong water, are going to be seen by every prospective employer who is Googling you (and they all do). Oh, and by your parents, too.

A good list. I would add suggestions to eat right and sleep. Develop the habit of eating loads of fruits and vegetables every day, organic if possible, while leaving sugary or fried foods and alcohol for special occasions. And get lots of good quality sleep every night. This sounds boring, but as you age, you'll look and feel younger plus you'll be healthier than your friends who eat junk, drink too much and sleep 3 hours a night.
