Say it ain't so, Joe - please, please, please, zip it and let this woman die of her self-inflicted wounds.
Why are you so defensive? All I did was ask the poster a question. Why is that a problem for you? Please be specific. Thanks.
George Will commented on "That HBO Comedian" who called her a "retarded
flight attendent" yesterday as if to defend Her. George, maybe you haven't seen
the thousands of vicious Hate E-mails I have have received from your beloved
Right Wing since 2000. They continue to come, all professionally compiled,
and cover all ways to intimidate anyone who is not Conservative. So pushing
back is a blood sport? I think it is about tiime.
Let's see.
I run for public office. While doing so:
1) I flub a very public interview in which Katie Couric asks me which magazines or newspapers I read, and I say "all of them." Later, I blame Katie for asking a "gotcha" question, because she obviously knew that I would find this question difficult to answer.
2) I constantly accuse my opposition of "palling around with terrorists", and by terrorist I mean a man who, in the 60s, put a cherry bomb in a toilet on a day when no one was at work. And then the guy left his organization because they were targeting people. And then the guy turned himself in. And then the guy went on to contribute more to society than I ever have.
3) I spend $150,000 on clothes for myself and my family. Money that was donated not for my clothing, but for political commercials and advertising and such. And when I'm caught, I blame the media for writing "gotcha" news reports about it. And I blame my handlers for spending the money. And I blame everyone except myself.
After doing all of that, I cry "foul" when the media dare point out how I've screwed up. I cry "political bloodsport" because people have been criticizing me for the choices I've made.
Obviously, I can do no wrong, and everyone should refrain from commenting on any decisions I make.
Because I'm Sarah Palin.
Fantastic summary.
SIEGELMAN was a victim of political blood sport, not Palin.
Sure thing Joe. Afterall, she's just a girl. Belongs in the kitchen.
Did you read the actual article? VP Biden's response to Palin's sudden resignation as governor was one of the most decent and certainly most kind comments of anyone else'. This includes the nas ty comments from her supporters (or former supporters.)
Mr. Biden's actual response, when you read it, was probably the most respectful of any.
She certainly likes participating in blood sports herself-- from the political arena to shooting wolves.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Alaska, and that I will faithfully discharge my duties as Governor to the best of my ability."
Fascinating that Ms. Palin suggests that abandoning the public service that she promised to give to the people of Alaska as governor for an elected term, - a service that was entrusted to her care, while now placing her own political appetite above that promise to serve, is now, somehow – an act of selflessness.
If the manipulation of public service weren’t disdainful enough, the self-aggrandizing example of Palin’s consumption with herself is certainly a clear example of who she pledges her allegiance to .
It’s all too familiar, like Rod Blagojevich claiming the condition that he found himself in -, resulting from his own arrogance expressed in his attempts to sell a U.S. senate seat to benefit himself, should somehow be likened to the work of Ghandi, Palin suggests that her pursuit of her own political aspirations, her personal agenda – is somehow– for the good of the people who elected her for a term.
In serving her own personal, political appetite, Palin suggests that such conduct is somehow – an example of selflessness, and is yet another classic example of a deplorable concept and appalling definition of the meaning of leadership and public service.
What should the American people expect of their elected leaders?
Politicians serving their own interests while profiting for themselves at the public’s expense, while the public is told that such actions are acts of selflessness - for the public good?
Honest Question to all Palin supporters.
What exactly have the media said about palin that have made her unable to do her job?
Please provide links, and comedians do not count.
So we should coddle our public officials and overlook their flaws?
Someone is confusing or confused here, and won't name names, but apparently they're confused & brain dead Limbaugh & Fox listeners. But if the media were liberal, they sure the he** wouldn't coddle failin Palin. And since Corporate Republicans OWN the media, how can it be labeled as liberal? Some ambiguity going on here, I would say.
LET US HOPE THE PALINS ARE NOT MOVING TO RESIDE IN NEW YORK STATE AS SOME RUMORS HAVE IT.
5 Universities and 6 schools to get a journalism degree shows a pattern of running and hiding.....this laughable latest action is more of the same......loser on all counts.
So she's "cut and run" from her duties? Do the Rethugs know she cuts and runs?
She doesn't read......watches alot of TV though.....
It has been ridiculous for the past several days! HP must have some new staffers! Getting extremely annoying!
