THE battle between Levi Johnston (above) and Sarah Palin isn't over yet. Johnston -- best known for impregnating the former vice-presidential candidate's daughter, Bristol -- "is shopping a book," his bodyguard/publicist, Tank, tells New York magazine.

Making that baby was the most significant 5 minutes of that kid's life. The book will buy him 5 more. So that'll leave him 5 to be famous for something other than a biological accident.

Actually it's an extremely smart move by this young man to remove himself from Palin's sphere of influence and seek his fortune elsewhere.

Levi's going to need all the support he can find and every buck he can scrape together to fight the Palins in court and and in the media over the right to have a place in the life of his son.

Sarah is notorious for chewing up and spitting out anyone that doesn't fall into line behind her and she's already shown her willingness to try and make life miserable for Levi.

But Levi still needs to maintain a degree of civility with his child's mother and other relatives.
What I'm saying is if Levi wants to model in a underwear ad and take advantage of his celebrity go for it.
But he needs to leave the tell all book out of it.
I'm thinking of his kid here. Why would anyone want to subject their child to estrangement from either parent for a buck. Well, maybe I answered my own question. Maybe he thinks his kid would be better off used as a political prop for Palin. While he surfs for 15 minutes.....
Face it, hes an inch close from being sued by the Palins for sole custody.
If he wants to be a father to his kid he needs to work on that authenticity. That means being an active contributor to his child's life.
He's not doing to well on that front right now...

Well, if this was a normal family, I'd agree with you.

But no matter what Levi does, the Palins already have enough reason (for them--but remember how petty and vengeful Sarah Palin is) to make his life miserable, using his child as the cudgel. They will turn the child against him, no matter what he does.
