He has wealthy friends, who made Billions with his scheme. They'll help Ruth & Bernie out with a couple of Millions, here and there, as long as he doesn't talk. Eventually, the whole truth will come out, and I bet many will be surprised who really stands behind the biggest non-governmental fraud in history.

That is a snapshot of the American justice system and how money and influence count for more than the crime or the victims.

The bottom line is if you are going to steal make sure you make it worth you while so you have enough money to either beat the system or go to a retirement home for old crooks with cash.
